  1. They'll free up a roster spot if Wilson goes short term IR (Tues) so I could definitely see a DB in that spot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Can I use the excuse of young(er) sheltered white boy? Their active years covered my conception to Sesame Street years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Is the & thing a play on "waves and waves and waves" or something else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I wish he would have let actually answer it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. There's some truth but pitchers are just fluky in general. You can have an 06(?) Cardinals situation where a bunch of waiver wire retreads pitch like Aces for 2 months and an 84 win team wins the WS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Get rid of Chicago D, otherwise I don't hate it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Doesn't McKinney ultimately project as a LF? Despite the tear he's put on since being traded, I don't know if I'm bumping him up that highly yet. I may still keep Almora ahead of him based on positional value, despite how much his plate approach scares me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'd almost rather see them go to 7 but use a series of piggybacking on 1-2 days a week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. We have limited 25 and 40 man roster spots. Lots of interesting back end/BP fodder. Very little top end material (one) and tons of money. It all adds up to spending big rather than spreading money around to reclamation projects. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I've gone to HS football games in the past when there wasn't anything else to do and I wasn't working. It's a big part of a small-town community. But this year, I've crossed deeper into being a depressive weirdo and I don't think I can watch HS football without thinking about all those studies that say these kids are screwing up their brains on every play. No as cheap entertainment in a small town is one thing, but when you're reading the message boards, getting phone updates on Friday night and generally invested in some 17 year olds' game it's weird. I am partially talking about myself to be clear, but there are seriously some grown ass, non parent adults who seriously get banned on internet message boards for HS football and I can't believe it. 11. But people who follow HS without having kids are by far the weirdest Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Football wise I actually follow HS close than college. If I attended a school with football in sure I'd feel differently Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. This seems irrationally optimistic. If not for injuries you're EXPECTING us to go to the playoffs 9 out of 10 seasons? It's either that or admit that being terrible for three years sucks and isn't awesome. 50 years from now...... Here lies Kyle, who's long life was still cut 5 years short because the Chicago Cubs only averaged 63 wins between 2012-2014 and not 73. In order to average 73 during those years they would need 92 wins this year, that would have been awesome. That's actually a pretty good way to look at since this year was the first year they REALLY left assets on the table. Granted they did shift some resources away from the MLB club to MiLB the first two years but they were generally doing the dual front thing, misses and all. Seeing how we are doing now, 92 wins wouldn't have been totally out if the question if our Tanaka money went somewhere (preferably a bat) and gave us production. Or at least a wild card chase. We then wouldn't have Russell, McKinney, and Top5 2015 pick, but still have a nice looking future. So if we end up with 4 or 5 out of 10 instead of 5 or 6, I'd definitely be looking at 2014 as the big wasted year because we put all our eggs in the Tanaka basket and failed. 14. We did the same last year, and they never really made a peep about that money rolling over. That money is almost certainly gone. Wasn't it assumed that paid some of our IFA penalties? Also it was a smaller amount, as we ate some money that deadline. ETA- also hard to say if part of our Tanaka space. Could have just rolled into that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. In addition to rollover from Tanaka didn't we save like $6M with deadline deals? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I'm just gonna hold out hope this is just Theo setting expectations low. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Bahahahahaha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. So yahoo! sends me an email grading my draft (well, their friends at "automated insights"). They said I did a pretty [expletive] job and gave me a C-. Then they urged me to click on the "full report card". That was a mistake. They continued to tell me how, if I won the league, I'd be "coach of the year", etc. etc. etc. Then proceeded to say they expected me to go 1-13 on the year. Ouch. I have to wonder how much me not drafting a defense at all factored into this "report card". That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if this team was not anything special. But, I *think* there is enough talent there to surprise and contend if I catch a few breaks. Weird that yahoo doesn't make you fill your roster. I tried not drafting a D in ESPN last year because one of my picks was Crabtree who was already injured, so I knew I'd get an IR spot. But they forced me to go D on my last pick. 19. But he always looks like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Granted double digits are almost always better but this is awesome http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/08/27/bb7aeee1dd4308d8d9436c59c4a52cab.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. that would suck i hate hate hate hate hate goofy numbers all im gonna think of everytime i see him is ST roster filler Variety is awesome. Give me goofy numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Puig kept his not real number too right Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. So now that the suspension is upheld does Gordon have any keeper value? He would have keeper values of 7 then 11 in my auction league. And you'd obviously have to waste a roster spot all season. I say no. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I like this team quite a bit. I would definitely look to pounce in QBs in the waiver wire. With 6pt TDS I think it actually lessens the difference to a certain extent. But the rest if the team is solid enough there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. What's wrong with Jays face. And hair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
