  1. You can only get so much fun out of a hot dog. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Also if you're going to throw out a MPG projection your best bet is to go over at least 5% due to injuries and DNP to give you something that is actually comparable for reference purposes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. He also didn't have a history of debilitating plantar fasciitis like Noah that I can say, speaking from experience, does in fact get irritated with more stress put on it. Between that and the deep front court they'll have, there's zero reason to play Noah more than 30-32 minutes a game. Aren't all the doctors saying plantar faciatis comes and goes regardless of stress? Even so do you think 3 minutes on the court makes a difference? If it does than limit what he does in practice. No, individually 3-5 minutes a game won't make a difference, but you add that up over 82 games and it's 240-400 minutes, or like playing an additional 8-12 games, and yes, that does make a difference. Doctors who haven't had PF can go jump in a lake. Mine acts up much worse when I'm running 50 miles a week than it does when I'm running 30 miles a week. Are your sure your personal experience is typical of all PF? It seems ditching those French shoes and being proactive about foot care really helped Noah's PF last year. 4. As someone who just spent the last 3 months mostly in California, you are wrong. There is a distinct difference between Mexican and Tex Mex. You are describing Tex Mex which is bastardized American influenced Mexican food. I've also had a taco with beans in it. It's not difficult, nor did it make it a burrito. Taco = one base, folded into two sides with an open air top Burrito = one base, folded over and wrapped up to an enclosed concoction. This isn't rocket science. Well burritos are basically unique to northern Mexicans and not Mexico as a whole so that Tex-Mex burrito is just authentically Mexican as whatever California has by and large, but those cultures are still going to be somewhat unique due to being separated. If we're trying to stick with a strictly historically Mexican dish though you're topping out on like two ingredients either way one of which may not be meat. I guess if proper is meant as historical, no that's not proper as the historical burrito was solely meant to be easily wrapped, but there is a just as authentic culture of plated burritos with mole, which I include to dustinguish it from tacos. Otherwise they are just basically large tacos with a different wrap technique. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. A proper burrito is wrapped end over end and covered in a mole or other sauce and eaten with silverware. None of this is true for a taco. Anyways the very first "subs" were called Italian sandwiches and the sandwich N&G is trying to limit the definition didn't really become popular until pre sliced bread. So while the whole expectation thing is very true of subs its not because sub's aren't sandwiches, but rather they are the original sandwich and have become bastardized.
  6. My pound cake craving can't be fulfilled with a pancake or even birthday cake, yet they are both cakes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That doesn't make a sub sandwich not a sandwich. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Alton Browns good eats episode on sandwiches constructed sub sandwiches so that's good enough for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Waffle is to pancake what a Reuben is to a Club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. They're both cakes, basically. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. If roasted Italian beef in a sauce and placed on an Italian or French roll is just "Italian beef" what's it called when you take the roll away? Also what do you call pulled pork on a bun and if the answe is just "pulled pork" and not "pulled pork sandwich" what do you call it in the absence of a bun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Honestly had to look up who the hell Buddy Carlyle was. Maybe there's some other 4 decade club candidates hanging around as career minor leaguers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. 1. Two pieces of leavened dough or loaf of leavened dough that is split. 2. Meat/filling that is sliced, pulled, or spread. And does not contain meat ingredients which are ground or packaged in a natural or artificial casing. 3. Dough must be cooked prior to inclusion of filling (aka no tamales, calzones, or pizzas) 4. Put in some type of scientific mumbo jumbo about the ratio of sugar butter and flour to exclude cakes as the source of leavened dough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. This is a ham sandwich. Take away the bread and its ham. Seems to work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. It's a stretch to call crust bread, but even then cooking the toppings/ingredients at the same time you cook the raw dough would definitely disqualify for sandwich status. Usually I'd also dock for not having two sides to the bread though there are a couple exceptions for open faced sandwiches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The bottom 4 on my roster put up 4 points. Luckily I had a big week elsewhere and pulled out the W but that's not sustainable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Pulled pork on a bun isn't a sandwich? I like your first part. Then just add it has to be on a risen bread and I'm happy with the definition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That's silly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Wow I don't know why but that didn't look like Brown at all. 98 looked familiar and I couldn't reconcile in my brain what looked like a RB on the field with a fatty in the 90s. I shouldn't drink. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Man I'm so disappointed Kyle Rudolph went down. No, wait I'm not cuz I picked up Larry Donnell. Where's the Fantasy Brag thread? Oh [expletive] you DeSean Jackson for your o-fer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I used to memorize the roster every season and I can't name one of those guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I'd like to be all meatbally and say he should man up and play with a club but I think Bostic with two hands is better anyways. Get well Shea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I can't tell if that post is meant to be in favor of or against retired numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Oh it'd be crazy and wouldn't happen ever, but maybe they could at least do some trades to please the meatballs. Like hey we'll retire Singletary's number guys but we're taking back Hewitt, Galimore, and McAfee because seriously. I'm still confused on Ditka but I guess they figured no one wears numbers in the 80s anymore except TEs and waiver-wire WRs so sure why not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Yeah, there should be no retired numbers, but I will take half as a start. I'm okay with Payton Butkus, maybe Sayers and Grange and a few others, but even then I'd be okay with zero as long as that was just the norm and you still found a way to honor the true greats of your franchise. Also you should never get one for dying (sorry Piccolo but the annual award is more than enough) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
