  1. ROFL what the hell is this uniform graphic on Wikipedia for Utah https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_Hockey_Club
  2. The D is good enough that the floor confidence level should be pretty high the rest of the way. The O confidence level on the other hand... Well rookie QB, even a Caleb Williams. Once he breaks through though, there will be no turning back.
  3. You didn't get the memo? Run game is back baby
  4. Ah, I thought you were saying traditional cable. Then yea, YouTube TV (or a few others) basically stand in as a mid tier cable package replacement (for slightly lower cost and better dvr, from my research).
  5. You can definitely cut the cord without doing those things, though the cost savings have narrowed considerably (for equivalent packages). A lot of it comes down to just how much you want to compromise on. Cable doesn't really require you to often make restrictive TV decisions. But cost is more (especially if you truly want everything) and it's not necessarily the easiest to get up and going (boxes, cables, contracts, whatever). Steaming TV can be up in minutes on any smart TV.
  6. Eh, I kind of agree solid wasn't good enough for them and what they are trying for (and there's kind of weird market dynamic at play vis a vie cost to retain), but they talked themselves into ignoring all the risks and red flags of Watson, which was really bad.
  7. Yea. No one should give up on Caleb. Even if he does have the stink of the Bears QB history behind him. But it's also okay to admit he isn't even a average QB right now. The generational stuff set expectations unreasonably high to begin with and he hasn't even been non-generational #1 pick good. But he has a string of games with a real opportunity to settle in. Would love a solid 250 yard zero To game in next several weeks (or a couple).
  8. This is the exact RB absolutism that should be avoided. None of it isn't based in some solid empirical evidence, but to say never is just wrong. Again, things like OL play being highly correlated to running game doesn't preclude the RB talent from mattering a whole heck of a lot.
  9. Andy Dalton might as well be a HOF compared to Bryce
  10. Bad news for CAR pick trackers ! https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/1835736746367005042?t=otGewvhq_YDZU3Ttm5xhXw&s=19
  11. Of all the pedantic moments on nsbb I didn't expect that to be the one to get the reaction
  12. Maybe it's splitting hairs, but I've seen a lot of "ignore" and much less "he sucks" critiques. Many teams have gotten better OL results from less.
  13. The "Poles ignoring the line" critique is a weird one. A top 10 pick, a $10M guard. Several day 3 picks. That plus the Rd 2 pick he inhereted, it's more of an execution critique than ignoring.
  14. I'm not sure I'd say very good yet. But there's been definitely a lot of positives to take from that part of the game. But, it's too one dimensional. Obviously deep balls are 50-50 at beat, but 0-11 deep and none even particularly close is bad. Like it's a struggle to even make a "low sample" argument because the error rate has felt that far off.
  15. Yea the whole "this is where QBs go to die" and "Fields all over again" thing pisses me off. Lol Like Caleb sucks right now, but the fatalistic approach is very annoying.
  16. Yep unless Caleb is just totally missing LOS adjustments, there's something deeply lacking in the scheme.
  17. Also I don't know if it's a coach issue or recognition issue, but they went almost the whole game against a blitz heavy attack and couldn't scheme up some blitz beaters. C'mon. It's a copy cat league. Every d from now is gonna come blitz heavy unless they show they have an answer.
  18. People are trying to put too much blame in OL They must have a league worst deep game right now. Anytime a whole area of the field is basically off its an issue. No different than when it was MOF/short game. That said the OL and play calling aren't helping. But even when they've had opportunities for big plays Caleb hasnt connected once. If he was merely below average and not bottom of league they might have another score or two and be 2-0. This horizontal run game which also includes the short RB pass game is worthless right now. I'd like to see more downhill running (Velus+Herbert) and mix in PA, boots and extra blockers. Put them in less 2 and 3 and longs. Oh yea, the false starts too. Caleb does have a decent rhythm to the short and quick pass game. If they can find a way to get more long plays in there hopefully his processing and footwork or whatever is wrong slows down and he makes the intermediate and deep field an actual threat.
  19. At this rate I'm just expecting Poles to trade another 2nd rounder mid year to try and fix the OL. Every year so far he's plugged his biggest position group failure this way. Except teams really never are in a position to part with good OL.
  20. Now would be the moment to find his accuracy.
  21. Can't blame him really. Opportunities are there and the throws are just flat off.
  22. Last week many blamed nerves. We can't use that excuse again right? Not high on my list of things I would have guessed would be going wrong early on...
