  1. So seems like we're finally past the point of foreigners complaining about how US media sorts the medal count. USA USA 🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸
  2. Edit - nevermind
  3. Granted I knew it was BS because I first saw it from Ted Cruzs twitter, but I've also been totally primed to totally assume any type of sex/gender outrage being manufactured. Maybe 10% of the time it isn't completely falsely manufactured and the rest of the time they're literally just tearing down any woman with visible muscles.
  4. More from Angela Carini https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5676796/2024/08/02/olympics-women-boxing-angela-carini-apologizes-imane-khelif/?smtyp=cur&smid=tw-nytimes
  5. All rw outrage leads back to Russia part 672
  6. I'm trying to go easy on her because it seems like it wasn't her intent to attack Imane and it's just the right wing storm taking it. But she seems like she's a pretty weak boxer. I mean I know she's an Olympian and all so she'd probably beat my ass, but I guess this wasn't the first time she's quit a match. And Imane has a strong, but far from unbeatable record. And this woman is infantalized for being injured in BOXING. Sorry theres risk in a match of punching. There's really not much apparent evidence Imane poses more risk to her opponents that other top female boxers based on what I can see from the boxers records. And yea, to tack on to the "the right can't even decide what a woman is" the fact that she competed for years under IBA just underscores that. They apparently struggle to define the criteria for an eligible woman is for their competitions. I spent way to much time reading about sex disorders and testosterone production in male puberty being the supposed core distinction for why a (possibly) intersex person can't compete as a woman, but I'd dare one of those people to then support an actual trans woman who had no male puberty from taking hormone blockers to be welcomed into international female competetion. (hint, they won't)
  7. Official ones right away. Replicas soon.
  8. Well they're two businesses now. Motorola Mobility is basically the consumer side. It's now owned by Lenovo and they still make smartphones and maybe some other consumer electronics. Motorola Solutions is still a pretty large communications/software player. But yea, not really consumer facing. My friend works there. Not sure which side is paying for a patch.
  9. Also teams who get those discounts with early extension also often times wipe out that benefit by... Extending the player early again. Lane Johnson in Philly comes to mind. He was early extended at least twice now and for like 9 months in 2022/23 he was the biggest upcoming bargain in the world until Roseman extended him again before the last extension even started to hit.
  10. Many of those teams also tend to manage the cap aggressively (I.e. Philly). Other teams like KC only would do a deal that early for a Mahomes and otherwise manage the cap much more conservatively, like Poles has. If Poles is about to enter his Howie Roseman era, then sign me up. But based on how he has shown his cap mgmt style to date it's definitely a questionable risk level to extend DJ two years early.
  11. There's also this weird factor where DJ Moore looks underpaid partially because Carolina ate a huge signing bonus and dead caps. If Moore had signed that deal with Bears and they were carrying his dead cap hits a lot less people would probably look at him as underpaid, even though the cash is the same.
  12. 27.5 isn't bad per se... That's like #7 WR now and in two year when that money kicks in it's prob borderline top 10. The bad news is that its his age 29-32 seasons. Thats old. I'd have rather just straight up renogotiated his 2 years remaining or tack on one extra year at a slightly higher pay then evaluate again in 20276 or 27. Even if you charitable say that part of the extension is to "right size" his current contract, I don't get going 4 new years.
  13. Yea, good ride share design should also be critical to any new stadium development. You're not gonna replace 100% of car traffic with public transit, but if you can replace parking that just takes up space for 5 hours and isnt productive any other time you really help maximize the daily and year round use.
  14. I assume there will be a lot of garage parking to replace the loss of surface parking. But if they also invest in transit, it could be even better.
  15. Or whatever the hell deal Tom Brady made with his wellness coach/business hired by the team
  16. Sounds like the hospital is paying the partnership like any other vendor (probably issues a 1099) and getting services. They can probably get away with that even if they ultimately exert some traditional employer-employee control over the doctors. Then the partnership issues as K-1. And even then they may still be required to draw some wages from the partnership. It likely has to pass a reasonableness test if they ever got audited and were doing employment level work for the partnership and not drawing a wage on part of their income. I see that pretty frequently with firms I deal with who have to draw some wages and not count everything as partnership draws. No way an athlete under a collectively bargained union contract is gonna claim non-employee status.
  17. Can you page wages into a C Corp? There's no way his salary is not getting classified as a wage. He isn't a private contractor.
  18. Never been in a rookie contract but definitely has been in plenty of vet contracts. I wasn't entirely sure it was even legal in a rookie contract but two of my most trusted cap/CBA guys discussed it as legit on Twitter so..
  19. Yea there's still plenty to negotiate even though the basics are basically pre-determined.
  20. Isn't there some rule they have to manage with holding too many prospects too?
  21. I'm just gonna plug it into a NFL trade chart and make my determination on that if it's good or not 😂
