  1. Would be a upgrade for NFL fans and Greg Olsen
  2. Black Monday used to be one day
  3. Probably not "long" before SB. If Lions make it past divisional round, the earliest they can even get him in the building is Jan 27. They'll get 3 hours of zoom before that. They also can't have any contact after Feb 2 if Lions make SB. I'd say Jan 30- Feb 2 is the likely leak timeframe.
  4. Worth the wait.
  5. Right. And if its a SB team its the bye week as the window for in person interviews.
  6. Thanks a lot Brock
  7. Who's a bigger dummy the organization or it's fans?
  8. Well good luck with that.
  9. Saints list shaping up:
  10. If there is any issue with Poles as lame duck it's him hiring out of his own self interest in hiring a coach who won't get him forced out. But 99% of the complaints of him being lame duck are centered on attracting the candidates. I don't think that is an issue and could be a low key positive (the ability to force out and scape goat Poles early on if needed). Thats where Warrens role in the process, especially if George is really Poles biggest backer gets interesting.
  11. Yea I am glad that is sounds like there is no extension for Poles. That whole component was way overblown by a fan base that loves obsessing over minute details that matter little. Messaging can use work though lol. Honestly I think George probably answered it better (though asked a slightly different way).
  12. The new rules require such a long runway, I'm not overly concerned with it. Outside of the few candidates who aren't currently employed I think there can't even be in person interviews until the 20th. I'm guessing while 3 hours I'd allowed under the rules, many will clock in under that. But a lot is probably for appearamces. And maybe for negotiation purposes with agents.
  13. Belated Black Monday
  14. Big assumption George knows how to use a computer.
  15. Jaguars requests go in for Glenn and Johnson. Breers wording is interesting though... 🤔
  16. Vrabrel interview reportedly tomorrow
  17. If I was a team looking at Nagy I'd feel a lot better if he hadn't run immediately back to Reid. May he have learned from some things in Chicago? Yes. But I think he'd learn a lot more working with other coaches and proving QB development outside Mahomes.
  18. Eh, he's right below the cusp where I wouldn't really have a second thought.
  19. After Johnson, I'm truely more open to candidates regardless of background. Though to the extent they have HC background I'm looking at it differently. I'll grant that going O will raise floor of possibilies for Williams development, but I truely think they can't be so short sided. So I'd have a slight preference for O but also can't really pretend that from my view I could look at like Weaver and Coen and make a "all else equal" type claim on it. Of course it's the Bears so I kind of expect failure but that's true if it's a non Ben OC too lol
  20. They can't be in something that doesn't exist.
  21. Just gonna lie and tell myself every single request is a negotiating tactic against Johnson's agent.
  22. Funny enough, he actually is a money baller, and not *awful* at in in sense of finding value, at least for the OL; APY spent on line. Estimated FMV (per Over the Cap Metric) Team________APY OL________OTC Val________Excess Value Broncos ______76,176,343____81,484,000_______5,307,657 Commanders___51,151,401____55,897,000_______4,745,599 Bears_________32,822,433___42,651,000_______9,828,567 He technincally built the most efficient OL which is very pleasing to the average anlaytic nerd who will probably tell you blindly "Sacks are a QB stat". Who cares if its half as productive as Denvers - look how wasteful theirs is!
  23. Losing is bad. Losing on purpose is really bad. The "Cap hell" was a myth. Yes 7-10 is better than 3-14. The cumulative league record of bottoming out isn't favorable. Seriously look at the history of #1 to relevance. The case studies are really not that favorable. The only empiracle evidence us that higher picks are on average better, but the practical evidence if that going to good use for the actual team is comparatively pretty bad.
