  1. That's going waaaaaaay too far. If he were writhing in pain I wouldn't have said it. But a knick or ding allowing someone else to get in there wouldn't be a bad thing. Because his .357 OBP is really killing this team. Yeah, like that's going to continue. And his defense is hurting the team. And nobody else's defense has ever hurt the team? If I remember correctly, just within the last couple of weeks Cedeno made an error and 3 runs scored afterwards. The irony here is that Theriot would've never gotten to that ball and there would've been no error to be made. It would've just been another hit.
  2. heh, I just called that HR on another forum. Wasn't that hard of a prediction to make...
  3. I'm almost positive they just showed Mike Barz and Jan Jeffcoat on the fan cam... (from the local FOX morning news)
  4. Ya, we just keep a bat better than DLee on the bench because he can't field anywhere.
  5. LOL I think Wittenmeyer (sp?) referred to Ward as the best "pure" hitter on the Cubs.
  6. Why couldn't that just be gone. Freaking Blanco, ugh.
  7. The zone has been moving around all game. Yea, but that was by far the most egregious one I've seen all game.
  8. Hopefully we can keep it manageable. With Volquez's PC, we're sure to get into the BP.
  9. Lilly hit 91 there... Ugh.. DP please.
  10. He went 2/3 with a 2B, 2 RBI, and 2 walks last night...
  11. As well as Lee has been hitting, he probably figured Derrek would put the bat on the ball. I don't particularly care what Lou's rationale is. This team is better off if we never attempt a hit and run all season. Lou really needs to stop calling for a few each game. With an ump using a tight strike zone and pitchers throwing so many balls it's foolish to hit and run. You don't really need that qualifier at the beginning, IMO.
  12. At the very least, it seems like we're really making pitchers work. Today seems to be no exception. What's Volquez's PC at?
  13. Plus Brewers losses are always nice, so it's win-win.
  14. am I allowed to post THE RIOTTTTTT even though I think he sucks?
  15. Pitching against a Dusty Baker-led team has a tendency to do that. Too bad we don't have any soft-tossing lefties. They'd have thrown 27 consecutive scoreless innings in this series! That's pretty much what Lilly is right now...
  16. But yea, the zone has been remarkably inconsistent.
  17. lol, ok ball 4 was definitely a ball... it was outside
  18. It was strike three. Dusty probably would have come out and argued it but he would have gotten booed mercilessly. It wasn't even strike two, was it?
  19. Fontenot with the DeuceBaseman tactics.
  20. Why do all of the positions you take have to be demeaning to anyone that doesn't think the same way? Now, extending your logic... Let's expand rosters to 35 guys and put entirely different teams out there for offense and defense. That way, we can sign Barry Bonds to hit and get Chris Walker back to play left for him. Theriot can stay at SS, but we can see Hoffpauir or Fox hit for that position instead. Wouldn't that be much more fun? Just find nine guys who can hit and nine guys who can field. Much more exciting. Why all these requirements for players who can excel at everything? They're too damn hard to find. http://kapcsford.freeblog.hu/Files/bazer/rofl.pwnt-spray.gif
  21. LOL that's even more hilariously dumb than the people who wanted to cut/trade/whatever Prior.
  22. If we manage to pull off a win with this pitching matchup tomorrow, we might have to abolish the "blame CT" shtick forever.
