  1. I didn't know we were here to provide play by play for you. I thought this was for talking about the game and stuff.
  2. Marmol is in the dugout for today's game.
  3. Ugh. Is he swinging at strikes, at least?
  4. I'm actually more on edge than usual. The more we keep winning, the less I want to lose.
  5. With 3 lefties coming up over the weekend, the assumption is that Lou wanted to get Fontenot a chance today.
  6. He reflects the energy of the moment, good or bad. You can usually hear the "downness" (for lack of a better word) in his voice at the end of a call when the opposition has done something. I hate it when announcers for the team I root for also root for that team and get affected by the events of the game. I would rather a mono-tone. Yea, that's exactly what I said. Or not. Actually, if anything, I would rather he sound a lot more pissed when the opposition does something. When the opposition is at the plate and I hear the tone of his voice, I'm expecting to hear an out and some sort of good play for the Cubs. Instead, it's a positive play for them. It annoys the piss out of me as I'm also pissed off about the play. Sue me.
  7. He gets excited way too often over things that don't warrant it (i.e. warning track flies). Don't make me think that Kosuke just hit a HR when the CF is about to catch it. And it also annoys the hell out of me when he gets that excitement in his voice when the opposition does something good. I didn't say it was logical. [-(
  8. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Pat Hughes drives me nuts.
  9. Have you seen that Phils lineup? garbage garbage Utley Burrell garbage garbage garbage garbage pitcher Kind of reminds me of those '05-'06 Cubs lineups. Luckily, Burrell just came through with two out. 3-1 Phils
  10. I'm not sure what you're trying to say. OPS is a rate stat and the PA totals don't mean anything...
  11. i.e. a Derrek Lee 2005 (would probably be a much better example if not for the wrist injury)?
  12. er, they're tied at least.
