  1. Tank losses=bad. Luckily they're pretty locked into their spot at 4, and even further away from the 6 spot. Which is why I don't give a single horsefeathers if they win games because of young core pieces playing sustainably awesomely, especially with the new lottery rules.
  2. Lauri Markkanen - really good Zach lavine - also pretty damn good
  3. This thread is already a rousing success
  4. He's there to plead to him and try to convince him not to hate Philadelphia
  5. Fun fact...I was at that game and left in the ninth to catch the train.
  6. i hate him for both and horsefeathering chris taylor, justin turner, and [expletive] hernandez and horsefeathering john starks who cares about starks, the knicks lost. he just made it more fun for us to win. also: Valid

  8. great song i'm gonna go ahead and explain that this is a reference to a rizzo tweet back from when we first traded for him (he also learned to play it on piano later iirc) just to make sure nobody thinks i actually like this song
  9. who's that? See 84 NLCS> i was 1 and i'm not young
  10. horsefeathering Steve Garvey is why you should hate the Padres. who's that?
  11. that dong thread euphoria didn't last long eh
  12. i figured this much and wasn't really expecting an explanation for my snarky nitpicky reply
  13. i thought tiger first and then trump
  14. plus i don't really think "signing great players helps you win" is really a question that needs to be proven to owners. they just want to hold down salaries and winning isn't their top priority.
  15. you have a weird definition of "the best" Players proving to ownership that investing big in the best free agents produces significantly improved baseball teams....definitely something I'm in favor of. the cubs winning the world series, definitely something i'm far more in favor of but maybe i'm weird
  16. Counterpoint: Them signing Machado and Harper and immediately rolling the rest of the league and winning the World Series would be the best. you have a weird definition of "the best"
  17. oh i thought you were talking about spring training homers. that one you're talking about was in his regular season debut I believe no, spring training off rob scahill... march 19th 2014. that's their ST park. i can't find a clip anywhere, but i was able to figure out that it was in this game. https://www.mlb.com/video/baez-injured-remains-in-game/c-31593325
  18. b2b tells horsefeathering great jokes man
  19. I think i remember the one you mean, as sick as that is...it was off rob scahill. i can't find a damn clip of it online anymore, but apparently javy sees the ball quite well off rob scahill, because https://www.mlb.com/yankees/video/baezs-two-run-home-run/c-1058742983?tid=11061776 i remember javy blasting a monster dong off randy wolf in that spring training edit: lookie lookie I sorta remember that one too. The one I'm remembering was in a televised night game against the Rockies, to damn near straight away center. I remember the backdrop being this CF batters eye also, if we're talking spring training dongs, this has to be tops: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gfb9Xng2BqU

  21. [tweet] [/tweet]
  22. i feel like this one deserves mention even though i had mostly forgotten about it
  23. there was a time (somewhere in the darkness of 2010-2014) where i would've thought you were insane if you told me that cubs era (07-08 in particular) wouldn't be my favorite by a wide mile. now i almost forget it happened. that's definitely a great one.
  24. He didn't end up being one of the core, Cardinals domination aside, but this was another one where it was like 'Hey, Cubs are here' [bbvideo=560,315] [/bbvideo] yep i'll always remember those few weeks in late 2014 as being the first time i saw the light at the end of the tank tunnel
