there was a time (somewhere in the darkness of 2010-2014) where i would've thought you were insane if you told me that cubs era (07-08 in particular) wouldn't be my favorite by a wide mile. now i almost forget it happened. that's definitely a great one.

I saw a Tweet on this going around and I decided I'd post it here for all the old fuddy duddies who don't mess with that. Hopefully this thread can just become a dong posting party. I tried narrowing it down to one and I couldn't. These all came to mind for me... I was actually a little surprised at just how many awesome ones there have been from just this era. Almora made some pretty big changes to his stance and apparently is hitting the ball hard and far and in the air a lot more than before. why would you not believe that? 93.5 wins would be a very high projection. by zips it would be the highest in the NL this year. yeah i'd say the unbelievable projection for them to get right would have been 2016. yup...and 2015

I'm not sure I believe their system spit out somewhere between 90.5 and 93.5 wins going into 2017 (though he did say just about every year). Even its just lip service, its nice to hear though. why would you not believe that? 93.5 wins would be a very high projection. by steamer (zips?) it would be the highest in the NL this year.

and they can't even make money off that hotel I do wonder what kind of business they do in the off-season. There’s really nothing going on in Wrigleyville in February. But I’m sure they thought about all this before they built the damn thing. out of curiosity, decided to check rates for tonight... a random thursday in february. $180 on the wholesale sites. into the $200s for the weekend.
