    No, that's actually exactly what they're basing it on. A lot of people (idiots) continue to think that Aramis was a gutless choking dog when Lee got hurt because he got off to a slow start in 06 before turning it on toward the second half.

    I was just watching TWIB and they showed a clip of Pie robbing a home run from Griffey. I was like WTF? I had no idea he made any such play. Was that the game Soto homered in? I missed that one.

    LOL it's so ridiculous to me when people scream, "Look at the Mavericks!" and mean it as an insult to Cuban somehow. I guess that's cause I don't put much stock in the playoffs as a measure of success. Championships are cool and playoffs are fun and all, but they don't always necessarily mean all that much. Even if championships were the be all, end all that people make them out to be, it's pretty absurd to blame the Mavs' playoff failures the last couple years on Cuban. Plus, they WERE in the finals three years ago, for crying out loud. Last year they lost to a GSW team that they just matched up with very poorly and this year they lost to a great team. The west is/was just loaded this season.

    I really don't mind the idea of the Brewers getting buried early. I have little, if any, fear of the Cardinals being around for much longer.

    He was short and chubby, but he could go get it. Maybe not the best example, but he was well above avg. in CF. Not that it's a good measure at all, especially since he was a good hitter, but he did win 6 gold gloves. Yes, I realize Edmonds won a bunch. Just offering some support to the notion that Puckett being on that list might not be so absurd...

    It was really weird seeing this thread about a simulated game in Mesa and then reading "Prior" first thing.

    And, if I remember right, they were nowhere to be heard from for the first 5 months of the season, either. One hot streak inevitably brought them up with the head of the pack in a mediocre division.

    I've thought that since the season started. Hoping the Jays and A's really start to suck but Harden and Burnett show themselves to be healthy till the trade deadline so that we can pick one of them up. Harden is due to come off the DL this weekend. I know it's rolling the dice in terms of health, and Cubs fans are tired of that to be sure, but a Z, Harden 1,2 punch in the playoffs would be a thing of beauty. Especially with a good, patient offense.

    I'd say your in the vast minority. I like it. Come on. The song REALLY is terrible. I like it because of what I associate with it and it's cool hearing the entire crowd sing it, but the song is incredibly cheesy and bad.
