  1. Ugh, even a freaking journalist doing it. It's "SET FOOT." /rant
  2. http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/huddleup/2009/05/exabilene-christian-qb-johnny-knox-has-that-grownman-strength.html I really think he has a chance to make a Colston-like surprise impact this season. It's a perfect storm in terms of his combination of abilities, the Bears' lack of established receivers, and having Jay friggin Cutler. It all comes down to how well he can learn the plays, IMO.
  3. Except it was none of those and was something steroid users use to come off their cycles as safely as they can. *shrug* In other words, it's almost direct proof of steroid usage. I don't see how that's a smokescreen of any sort.
  4. You guys might've missed the awesome pictures of Jay Cutler in a Bears uni from 4-5 pages back...
  5. Let's just say the odds are extremely slim it was for anything else. Anybody who uses roids in any remotely responsible/safe manner goes on these types of drugs towards the end and after a cycle. That's why they test for them in the first place. This isn't remotely unusual. It's the norm for a roider.
  6. Pretty standard PCT drug. I wonder what kind of super-roids he's using that went undetected.
  7. And I laugh at Bears fans who think that Favre going to the Vikings isn't going to improve them and make them even more the fav for the division. Brett Favre at age 40 is not likely to play the entire season, especially coming off a injury. elcaballo, meet Mr Rosenfels. They'd be better off.
  8. is he out for any games we play against them?

  10. Yes, what a jerk for him wanting to stand up for himself on principle. Sure, I would've preferred he take the suspension while he was hurt, too, but give me a break.
  11. i can see bobby scales, but why will ohman?
  12. Huh? I was responding to the bum. Didn't see that post... :?
  13. These are my thoughts exactly. It's probably gonna take a bit of luck to score off Lincecum, anyway. Might as well give the opportunity to get lucky to the backups and let the regulars get a day off after a night game.
  14. I don't know about home run hitter, but he already put out there that Lou has told him to pull/drive the ball more and that he's made a conscious effort to do so. I think Lou commented on it publicly too. If he does it just to keep pitchers honest, it shouldn't hurt.
  15. I think Lou had originally called for Jason Marquis to pinch run, except that he forgot that Jason was traded a few months back. That and the fact that he hates Joey Gathright as much as the rest of Cubs Nation does. Ugh
  16. reeaaaaaally? Yeah right. ESPN would be all over it. They were all over it like an hour ago, thats when I saw it. It was a joke. He said he participated and he looked "greeeeeeeat... flying all over the court" or something to that effect.. "probably gonna play him 48 minutes"...then he said "i wish it was april first"
  17. Great read from Simmons... http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/090501&sportCat=nba
