  1. Or where they completely missed Rose's obvious goaltending. Oh, wait, he's on the Bulls. It's laughable if you're suggesting the officiating in this game was even or if you're suggesting that NBA officiating isn't shady as all hell.
  2. Not to even mention the countless horrible calls against the Bulls the rest of the game. What the hell was up with the Joakim jump ball?
  3. http://i38.tinypic.com/19p8vl.jpg Clearly. Which is why it took the refs like 5 minutes (when they're only allowed to take 2 at most) of watching to "figure it out." Totally clear.
  4. How can you prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the ball is in his hands in that photo (I'm pretty sure I know the angle and photo you are referring to)? It looks like it is, but there's another angle where it looks like it's out. So which one is right? The only one you can argue shows that it's out (from the front) looks that way because the ball is obscuring the end of his fingers on his right hand. Except it doesn't need to be proven to be out. It needs to be proven to be not out. The call was that the shot was good and counted. So basically, only one angle suggests the ball to be not out, and the rest are completely inconclusive. I don't see how that's enough to overturn.
  5. I have a minor scoop on the NL outfielder GG voting. Kemp got 72 votes, Victorino got 70, and Bourn got 31. 4th-6th place were Francoeur, Cameron, and Morgan respectively.
  6. All based off of Sam Smith's stupidity.
  7. Saw this on MLBTR's Twitter... http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/11/cubs-rumors-harden-grabow-zambrano.html Here's hoping that last part means Cameron will be manning CF next year. Here are some of the actual excerpts... That Starlin Castro tidbit is surprising. Really hoping he just meant as a cup of coffee.
  8. Yea, I've noticed that... ha For someone who doesn't follow the minors at all, though, too soon.
  9. Thanks for the info, guys... Seems too soon to get excited about him.
  10. I had never heard of Castro before today. (Obviously, I don't follow the minor leagues much). Is he really that good? I was under the impression that we had Vitters... we had Cashner as a decent relief prospect, and that was about that. Suddenly, I hear Stone praising this guy on the Score today and I had never heard his name before. He mentioned him within the context of saying Theriot should be moved to 2B next year with a stop gap SS to hold down the fort for a year until Castro came up.
  11. Pretty sure we've discussed Cameron before. Great value if we can get him short term (1 or 2 years at a reasonable amount). Has been insanely consistent at the plate and is a great defensive CF.
  12. So does this open the door a little more for us to get Cameron?
  13. Why because he's gone now and because you have Teahen now? If Teahen is replacing Dye, then the sox are counting on him to be one of their power bats which is not something smart. Especially when you have an overpaid Rios in Center. Oh [expletive], we're dooooooooooooooomed. haha
  14. Kenney always is candid and is a pretty damn good interview.
  15. Ricketts is on now...670... in studio
  16. Ricketts will be joining B&B at 3:30
  17. How isn't ownership at fault when they continually let incompetents run the team?
  18. I didn't see it.
  19. Would they have the slightest idea what questions to ask in a sabr conversation? I'd imagine numbers guy to B&B(at least Boers) means BA with men on 3rd < 2 outs, Day cERA, etc. I'd like for Ricketts' first order of business to be the firing of Wasserstrom. Not at all. Bernstein cites SABR stats all the time. He just doesn't talk a whole lot about it. EDIT - Like Banedon says, it doesn't really play to the audience.
  20. Nice. That Bartman question is just so ridiculously stupid, though.
  21. B&B just implied that Ricketts is a numbers guy and that they'll bring up the sabr subject. Seems like that would be worth listening to.
  22. Pretty sure, btw, that Ricketts will be on with Boers and Bernstein today as well as with Carmen, Jurko, and Harry.
  23. Am I really the only one not surprised by that? He didn't show all that much in the preseason and I never got the impression that they were super impressed with him in camp. Doesn't surprise me much at all that he didn't play in what was a close game (for most of the game, at least) against a great team. I would have rather he played a bit. I mean, if Pargo can see the floor, anyone can, but we have less depth at G. Can't say I'm surprised at all that JJ didn't play in that game. If we're getting killed tonight, I'm sure he'll see some burn.
  24. Anyone know why we didn't wind up getting Janet Marie Smith?
  25. Stole this from RealGM PER's from game 1
