  1. Braves have 1st and 3rd nobody out
  2. Yeah, I thought about it, and short of our 3-5 SP and bullpen, taking everything into account, there's not a single player of significance I'd rather it have been if it had to be one (well, aside from Soler, I suppose).
  3. I didn't realize Ray was a lefty. I am way more calm about Ross starting now. I feared it was gonna become another personal catcher situation for him for some reason, since Montero had just had Tuesday and Wednesday off.
  4. Idk I'm pretty sure if he can run a marathon they'll let him play left field and trot around the bases.
  5. David horsefeathering Ross are you kidding me??! Do Hammel and Montero hate eachother?
  6. i think if it has any impact on his future as a catcher it would be negative
  7. jesse rogers is an idiot then. a football player would probably be ready by opening day next year.
  8. Pretty much. Hate to lose one of our injury safety nets that early, though.
  9. why would that be your assumption over soler just being our primary LF?
  10. whatever they do, plz don't send him to brian cole or anyone who has ever done anything for the bulls
  11. what's the history on aggressive recovery times for torn knee ligaments on baseball players? i'd imagine it's not as bad as football or basketball but still probably more than 6 months? EDIT - FWIW...this is just for ACL but I'd imagine they would both heal in similar time frames. http://www.emoryhealthcare.org/acl-program/surgical-recovery/acl-rehab-expectations.html

  14. i'm no doctor, but i'm not sure why the swelling would need to go down for an mri. for surgery, yes, that would make sense.
  15. It's too bad Almora isn't at least at a point where he could be a passable MLB hitter. We could go straight up silly good OF defense right now if he could, with Fowler and Heyward in the corners.
  16. But they don't let those same idiots on other shows. They absolutely screen differently on B&B. I disagree completely. Other than the ones who are basically B&B characters at this point, like Mike in Milwaukee. B&B just engage them and berate them. The other ones (M&H, LoHo) just kinda humor them and politely mock. And Grobstein is one of them, so he embraces them. EDIT - Forgot about Spiegel and Goff...it's weird, I barely even notice when they take callers.
  17. offensive ceiling adjusted for positional value or just purely blind "which of these guys can put up the highest wOBA?"
  18. I'm lower on him than most, but I think you could make a case for 8th. He is definitely behind Rizzo, Bryant, and Heyward. Probably Russell and Zobrist. And I'm not 100% in 2016 he is better than Fowler or Montrro. Montero? No way. i don't think it's out of the realm of sane thoughts to consider that montero might have a more valuable season than schwarber might've. I wouldn't consider it expected, but I don't think there's a huge gap between, say, an expectation level schwarber season and a good montero year.
  19. i really don't think they need to screen for those people. people in general (and sports fans in general) are already stupid. the people that actually call into those shows are self selecting for stupid.
