part of me wonders why they wouldn't diagnose/announce even a knee sprain without an MRI if they thought his knee was messed up (since they did announce an ankle sprain), but I'm mostly thinking we're not even a little out of the woods on the knee thing. at first i was optimistic since they didn't even mention the knee. hopefully the initial tests are good on the knee and were bad on the ankle and that's what they announced what they announced, and then the MRI would be just to rule out/confirm diagnosis. otherwise it's almost bad news that xrays were negative, since that means it's something worse than a break would've been.
