Lackey enjoyed his first dance party http://www.csnchicago.com/video_content_type/lackey-preparing-his-first-start-cubs i already like him a lot more. now go pitch well.
i have no problem with this i just didnt want us behind the pirates in the standings. but the cards being 0-3 and seeing their fans panic is cool too its funny, when i started watching baseball the cardinals kinda sucked. then they put together that core that carried them the first half of the 2000s, and pujols carried them that whole decade too. it wasn't until the last 4-5 years that they really started to piss me off with these teams of boring grindy overachievers and the BFIB stuff really taking hold.
i'd read less than nothing into this- it's likely a manager over-obsessing about matchups; Corey Dickerson sat today after homering in two of his first three games I'm not saying they're benching him. I AM saying Matheny is probably overreacting to his start and wants to give him a breather or something stupid like that.
you inspired me to take a look over there. http://interact.stltoday.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1169606&sid=4cc877b7d6b8ac6e1539d0b1b7239205#p15920424 lol it's 2016 and people still don't understand that strikeouts aren't necessarily a symptom of impatience same guy thinks the idea that bryant and fowler are patient is so laughable that it's worth being sarcastic about
I few people did here, I think, but I wasn't even really trying to pull some kind of NSBB gotcha. I meant in general. Twitter, some media, message boards, whatever.
I wasn't sure where the hell to post this but I am definitely laughing [tweet]https://twitter.com/ESPN1000/status/717791846102134784[/tweet] screen shot in case it gets fixed/removed http://i.imgur.com/fU7xACY.png
not entirely sure what to make of this but i'm thinking the marquee is going to be double sided with the old look being visible to the people in the marquee restaurant/bar [tweet]

I don't think anyone really contested it. He was right in line with what works up top and what the FO liked to do with such a high pick. Nobody really paid attention to him is all. Like I follow the draft and am not sure I acknowledged he existed the whole time. You don't think anyone complained about the pick? Ok.
it's just so amazing how much consternation there was about schwarber from a lot of the people who follow the draft closely and then he was literally up and mashing like a beast in basically a year for those cleveland and minnesota games.
i just hope they don't put those ugly banners up over the beautiful shiny new facade. i know they put them up by gate D in right, and that's fine since that part of the park is still ugly.
I don't know if they'll worry about the Super Two with Glasnow but he could be up as early as May or June. Taillon hasn't pitched many innings the past two years due to TJS so he's probably on a much more limited track this season - I guess it depends on how good he looks to start off and how creative the Pirates are with his innings so he can help the big league team. playing super 2 games would be a good way to ensure that they'll be in another wild card game at best, but then i guess that'd be pretty smart of them for realizing they don't have a shot.
Can view live construction right now: http://www.earthcam.com/usa/illinois/chicago/wrigleyfield/?cam=wrigleyfield_hd looks like the Toyota signs will go right above and below the marquee The Toyota sign was already in place last year. I'm pretty sure the one they put up top was temporary while the marquee was taken down so that they wouldn't lose their visibility while the marquee was down.
