This is how I tend to see it, though it's possible I'm completely operating on bias as far as the severity of hangover stuff. Usually if I hydrate well, I avoid bad hangovers. If I don't, I get bad hangovers. How much of a role the quality of it plays I can't really say much on beyond my anecdotal belief that it might be better with good liquor.

holy crap, i always figured him as a mouth breather but that surpassed my expectations I didn't like the "its just one win and we were partying like it was a playoff series win" He was great at the Convention though. Kind of a jerk to Lester, I mean really slamming him, but you got the vibe that they have the kind of relationship that could support it. I'm trying really hard to like him. A solid performance tonight would go a long way. They do kinda party like it's a playoff win after every win (minus the champagne) and it's pretty unusual. He said it was sick right after that. -

When you are drinking beer that is only 4-5% alcohol, this means that you aren't going to get very drunk unless you are slamming beers really fast. You can drink 8 beers over an 8 hour period and just maintain that same low-level buzz. And, I mean, is it really that hard to believe that a person can tell the difference between top shelf alcohol and cheap domestic beer? I'm not making any extraordinary claims here. I never said I don't get drunk off of top shelf liquor. What I'm saying is that when you drink higher quality alcohol, the euphoria to impairment ratio is much more favorable. By euphoria, I pretty much mean "being drunk". When you drink higher quality alcohol, you get just as drunk, except you are not as impaired. You don't slur your words as much, and you aren't as confused. Sorry if you guys think I'm being uppity. You don't slur your words as much and aren't as confused when you're drunk off top shelf? And, yes, when I say pounding cheap shitty beer at baseball games, I mean more than 1 per hour.

i have no problem with this i just didnt want us behind the pirates in the standings. but the cards being 0-3 and seeing their fans panic is cool too its funny, when i started watching baseball the cardinals kinda sucked. then they put together that core that carried them the first half of the 2000s, and pujols carried them that whole decade too. it wasn't until the last 4-5 years that they really started to piss me off with these teams of boring grindy overachievers and the BFIB stuff really taking hold.

i'd read less than nothing into this- it's likely a manager over-obsessing about matchups; Corey Dickerson sat today after homering in two of his first three games I'm not saying they're benching him. I AM saying Matheny is probably overreacting to his start and wants to give him a breather or something stupid like that.

I don't think anyone really contested it. He was right in line with what works up top and what the FO liked to do with such a high pick. Nobody really paid attention to him is all. Like I follow the draft and am not sure I acknowledged he existed the whole time. You don't think anyone complained about the pick? Ok.

it's just so amazing how much consternation there was about schwarber from a lot of the people who follow the draft closely and then he was literally up and mashing like a beast in basically a year for those cleveland and minnesota games.
