  1. stealing this from GRB. http://sportsworld.nbcsports.com/dale-murphy-bryce-harper-bat-flip/
  2. [tweet] [/tweet] i knew there was a reason i was day dreaming so much about possibly starting like 5-0 or something fun like that. we never do it.
  3. This is North's blog (but this one was written by Doogs from PSD) http://www.cubsrelated.com/2016/04/a-look-at-jake-bot-v2016.html More at link.
  4. remember when the tanaka stuff was going on and some of us were saying that the cubs could easily be in a much better place than the yankees very soon and others of us were ridiculing those some of us tanaka would be pretty cool to have instead of like hammel (yes yes i know butterfly effect disclaimer)

  6. i couldn't decide whether to root for starlin there or not i have keuchel in my big league and my pitching has been struggling. he hit a double down the line with 2 on and 2 out.
  7. Weekly other games threads are a great compromise. Great idea.
  8. i love that probably our worst (er, least good) regular went 2/5 with a HR and 3 RBI while having some great textbook ABs...already responsible for a tenth of a win (or at least more than .05 of one) last night
  9. god football in vegas is the freaking best it really is. i'm an addict. i try to go a couple times a year during the football season.
  10. i go to vegas a lot, especially during the nfl season. there's something both weird as hell and awesome about 10 AM football. the 5pm prime time games really catches me off guard, though.
  11. i thought you had both of them as piss breaks last year
  12. There was at least one guy on GWRB last night who kept reacting to Heyward's AB's like he was relieved he didn't have to "deal with those anymore," like it was this ordeal to suffer through a 6 WAR player last year. he did hit a horsefeathers ton of ground balls last year. i understand how that can be really annoying. especially given what he looks like he should be able to do. but yeah, the overall value obviously washes all that out.
  13. Montero can DH today with Ross behind the plate. If we're sitting Schwarber because the pitcher is really good against lefties, why would we DH Montero?

  16. This timeline LOL
  17. I'm not convinced the Angels are a decent team. They have Trout and Richards and.... ...I mean, it could be argued that any one of the Cubs starting lineup would be the 2nd best hitter on the Angels. it could be argued that any one of the cubs starting lineup would be the 2nd best hitter on the cardinals (and like 4 of them would be the best) just saying anyway by decent i was just saying they're not awful like the brewers.
  18. yeah, the giants and dodgers embarrassed the brewers and padres. we embarrassed a decent team with a legit ace on the mound and the best player in baseball (maybe ever when it's all said and done but that's not htat relevant).
  19. if i was playing tonights game i'd be mad at myself for playing on rookie with a team full of all stars and not challenging myself
  20. ok i hate zobrist less now... 2 hits 1 tootblan
  21. I think it's been 3 years since the Cubs even scored on opening day. They won 3-1 in 2013. i remember that now... i had my hopes up still that we'd get off to a good start and we had some insanely frustrating losses in atlanta and were never even close to doing anything after that
