    I saw this on GRB a day or two ago, and am filing it away: A little puffed up after sweeping the worst team in baseball. to be fair, that was one post in a thread where most of them are voting that the cubs will win 100+ games

    i don't want any late season cruise mode (unless it's a god mode cruise mode). i want the cubs to finally deliver on zambrano's win prediction.

    that's what they said...that he needs to get hit more. guess they missed where he led the league in HBP last year (and TT pointed out that he is actually really good on teh inside part of the plate soooo)

    I'd say their garbage lineup is a bit more of a concern. For sure. Riding the best stretch in Yoenis Cespedes' career lulled them into thinking that they had a decent offense, I think. They really should have added an impact bat over the offseason. If they miss the playoffs with that rotation, it will have been a massive failure on the part of the front office. i mean, their offense in the second half was a lot more than cespedes. i still think they are a little better than mediocre and won't make the playoffs with a mid-upper 80's win total but yeah.

    lol had taken a nap after work and slept a little long...saw it was 7:40, figured i'd be turning on the game in the 2nd or 3rd inning and was kinda hoping it would be 0-0 so that i wouldn't have missed anything instead saw russell driving in our 3rd/4th runs (i think? - i was in a groggy haze and don't feel like rewinding) and then lackey adding on and their pitcher getting pulled in the first. lmao. amazing.

    This exact same thing happened to me (well, it wasn't to a nephew). Same here, my wife looked at me like I'm a moron. I guess I am sometimes though so who cares... then it wasn't the same, since i acknowledged that the cubs can't get him out so i just looked amazingly prescient
