    Sure, but I could also see a string of 10-0 losses killing morale and turning some kids away from the sport This is the 2nd straight week this team has come in and steamrolled a team. They are from another town (we live in an small town with several other small towns nearby). The teams are supposed to be chosen at random, but this particular town is known for choosing their A, B, and C teams. They could just as easily play in the bigger cities league, but they use ours as a "confidence booster" for their kids. My daughter is very competitive, and fast, but not good at soccer yet. She couldn't keep up with anyone on that team. After the game, she was so disheartened because she thought she played poorly. It really killed her desire to play next week and in the future. sidenote 2: i should've read more

    how the hell did that boy/girl ratio and age/size disparity even happen in the first place? sidenote: i do not have kids and have no idea how these teams are put together

    well, yeah, but i just didn't understand why we weren't beating it. TV numbers for pretty much down for everything when you like at a timeframe like that due to all of the the changes in watching/streaming/etc. options. great point

    by the way, that 2004 game that got beat was the 2004 prior/clemens game where todd walker just missed the cycle and instead hit a 2nd HR. i totally remember watching that. and then i watched real world san diego and found out that a phobia of tall boats was a thing.

    I would assume all of the 2009 highs would be just be fallout from 2008's awesomeness and everyone expecting 2009 to be great. well, yeah, but i just didn't understand why we weren't beating it.

    random chit chat thoughts that popped in my head i'm going off memory here... i'm pretty sure that at least UMFan can correct me if i'm wrong. so, the 2007 montage (either by CSN or WGN) was set to straight lines by silverchair, i think, right? 2003 was keeping the dream alive by freiheit? was there one where they used good riddance by green day? were those both 2003? was there a sad 2004 one that i'm confusing either for? also, why do i have no recollection of one for 2008? was it to that crappy bon jovi - i love this town song? that rings a bell because mlb was using it for playoff stuff tha tyear edit - nevermind...2004 was to one thing by finger eleven
