  1. Would this be hard to do given the great board crash of 2016, or can you just move one thread over at a time pretty easily?
  2. Damn...I knew Gonzo got really good when he roided up and went to AZ, but I had no idea he was 9 WAR (well, 8.9) good (one year). I really liked him when he was on the Cubs for some reason
  3. Greetings from beautiful Broadview, IL !
  4. fred's toad suck anecdotes: Weird anecdote...someone earlier referenced a story where Fred would call Burnitz "Beer Nutz" or something like that...Jeromy Burnitz went to Conroe High School (before the renovation Fred is talking about obv). I found this out because I had to look up Cut and Shoot, TX on Wikipedia to confirm that it was a real place. As for more Cubs connections, so did Andrew Cashner.
  5. Game thread forum name thing is beyond perfect.
  6. i hate that we spoiled a perfectly good RD game

  8. haha, i like this guy. [tweet]https://twitter.com/mqmoody/status/775166783883976704[/tweet]
  9. the bullpen picture isn't really going to be all that complicated
  10. the offense has really looked like horsefeathers since they scored their 9th run
  11. Was that what he said to describe the spot in the lineup after the guy on deck? Awesome. Specifically for the game thread starters when he'd notify the posters who were up
  12. so i guess cease was good again tonight? horsefeathers it, call him up now so we don't waste any of those 100 mph heaters before his arm explodes
  13. shouldn't be deciding the playoff rotation based on home/road ERA splits Eh, I'd usually agree with you but Hendricks is a guy who seems tied to his routine and there was an article the other day where he talked about how it's much easier for him to go through his pre-game routine at Wrigley. I have no problem having him go Game 1 or Game 2 to get him the start at home. that's probably him just giving the media an answer to explain away the splits because they asked him about them to me the split is more likely than anything to be a coincidence and using it to decide the rotation in the playoffs makes about as much sense to me as wanting to move bryant down the order last year on the road would've.
  14. this game went from oil painting to ugly blowout win real fast
  15. Lester Arrieta Hendricks Lackey Hendricks has a 1.21 era at home and 3.09 on the road. Pitch him in game 2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk shouldn't be deciding the playoff rotation based on home/road ERA splits
  16. well the same gun had him around 94-95 earlier in the game
  17. [tweet]https://twitter.com/CubsRelated/status/775155749915795457[/tweet] i just had the same thought a minute ago
  18. Oh, no...this is what I'm sure we all feared. I'm so sorry.
  19. they've seriously done it in every facet of the game. when you say firing on all cylinders, this game is exactly that.
  20. Seriously. I think you could give some teams 1000 chances and they'd never play a game that looks as good as this one has in every aspect.
  21. ohhh yesss this team is so damn blatantly good at baseball
  22. KB, and it's not even that close the one mitigating thing for me is the two year age gap (29 vs 27) and the fact that russell is higher up the defensive spectrum but i'd still say bryant
  23. LAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEE
