yeah, sure he got loud for the big plays and rightfully praised Baez. But several times he referred to Almora "failing" to make what was an impossible play and needing to redeem himself and it wasn't until the very end that the tone shifted from the giants being an unstoppable force and the Cubs being lucky to be on the field with them. Like all national broadcasters he fell back hard on the Cubs are the Cubs storyline as if they weren't the 103 win team this year. yeah, that national narrative is annoying as horsefeathers but thank god it will be over with for good in a few weeks.

He clearly loves Baez. TIL he was a front runner for the job opening (and may have passed it up) when Len got it. I did not remember that.

I gotta give credit where it's due. Even though I think Vasgersian can be kind of a prick at times and occasionally makes fun of newfangled stats, I really enjoyed his calls of our big plays this series.

There was some Hawk dude raging in the thread about choking and playing scared last night; checked out his posting history and the guy crazily had that going all season whenever they were losing. Yeah that was the dude I ninny-shamed earlier.

Yeesh. The way you guys keep talking, guess I'm glad I didn't look at the game thread once during the game. I only looked at the last 15-20 pages from last night (whenever exactly it was that good things started happening).

Gotta say... it's a little bit weird that you know your co-worker's preferred weight range. we're good friends (at least as far as coworkers go). we talk about all kinds of horsefeathers. also we had a weight loss competition type thing once with a bunch of us.

not to give reynolds the benefit of the doubt but i think he literally meant the worst outcome of the outcomes they would want. not the worst actual outcome. and it's still nonsense that isn't worth saying, but it's not as egregious as he's making it seem. -
