  1. This is coming from someone who iirc is a little bit of a Coomer apologist.
  2. what the horsefeathers zobrist are you horsefeathering kidding me?
  3. Well, they did get Forsythe. Can't see platooning Seager vs. just letting a young superstar try to improve at it. Same kinda goes for Pederson (without the super part). Grandal was good vs both hands last year, despite a crappy BA. Could've easily gotten a platoon partner for Gonzalez, though. And I had no idea Turner had such drastic reverse splits. They had the ghost of Franklin Gutierrez and Slur Hernandez as 2/3rds of their OF against a LHP on Tuesday. Toss in Gonzalez being platoon worthy and Seager being not so superstar-ish against LHP, they are not good. Just because your roster construction makes it hard to make your lineup less exploitable doesn't make it any less worthy of mockery when they don't do it. Yeah, I mean...that's bizarre. It shouldn't be hard to find a lefty mashing corner OFer or 1B.
  4. Well, maybe a little surprised. More seriously, this move is delightful to me for some reason. Basically taunting the Dodgers for not fixing their ability to hit LHP. 5. Was already being discussed in the general thread, but as I'm team anti-megathread, I'll just move it over here. Oh well, he gets the gift of pitching to the hapless vs. LHP Dodgers true but he was facing the brewers anyway and jake hasn't exactly struggled vs LA.

  7. [tweet] [/tweet] they shuffled the rotation around. this kind of annoys me as I was looking forward to seeing arrieta on monday, but w/e. also lester hates the pomp and circumstance of opening day festivities so i'm sure he's jazzed about doing it twice in a about week.
  8. The lineup graphic you posted has a link. you expected me to read all that junk on the side?
  9. I've been vocal about wanting Zobrist at 2B still with Javy having an expanded version of his 2016 role, but today would seem like a good opportunity to start Baez against a guy who throws nothing but fastballs. But maybe that's overly simplistic.
  10. You can stream via computer too? For some reason, I thought I'd heard it was only mobile devices. I'd like to use this...Link?
  11. this is old but a quick enjoyable read http://www.obstructedview.net/cubs-incredible-drafters/
  12. Lol. I think it was them or original petco (now fixed) that literally forgot to design bullpens in when they were built so had to make shift it. Myth but yeah that's the story (for SF). They were imitating Wrigley.
  13. how the hell did i not realize that SF has their bullpens on the field like wrigley used to
  14. another look at the WS banner flag poles bullpen opening
  15. i love when mojo goes on one of his weird food posting rampages where's that one dude who always gets mad about it?
  16. [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. The idea of Corey Patterson's player development in the hands of this FO makes me feel all tingly. Are you suggesting they would have given him more than 25 PAs at AA before promoting him because Dusty wanted him as a pinch runner? Baylor
  18. he was such a monster in the lower minors...if he can realize that at the big league level, mannnnnn remember the 4 dong night? holy horsefeathering horsefeathers
  19. bosio was on the score this morning and you could tell he was really sick of being in st louis lmao
  20. according to mojo actually they're all hideous iirc kris bryant's flaw is that he looks like a 12 year old girl's idea of a disney prince or something
  21. Just happened upon this old picture of Matheny from when he was playing jesus christ it's easy to forget how roided up everyone was
  22. he was man crushing on him in another thread the other day
