  2. And where did you picture something like that fitting within the footprint of the current park? Exactly where they are going to be I'm saying I didn't expect windows and a glass door. I expected fencing with a green ad see through mesh overlay type thing like they have (had?) at the knothole thing.
  3. They've been making a big deal out of it, so I would say yes. Baseball Tonight is scheduled before the game. I can't imagine they will do more than just some live look-ins. I'm guessing Baseball Tonight will be broadcasting from Wrigley and all of it will be aired.
  4. I kinda expected the bullpens to be gated with fencing and more open to the elements. How many bullpens are indoor/climate controlled in an outdoor park? Seems odd.
  5. Happ's blocked too don't you think? Javy's probably going to be the everyday 2B next year and Zobrist will become the utility guy. Happ could take La Stella's spot but how much playing time could Happ hope to get unless he plays in the OF. Ewww. Has everybody forgotten that javy is a terrible hitter against most pitchers? I love him but the hot playoffs and spectacular defensive highlights have made everyone nuts.
  6. Exactly how I feel. And I'm pretty sure he could dial it up to 95 too if he wanted to, tbh. Did anyone hear him on Waddle and Silvy the other day? They asked about his velocity and gave him an out asking if he's holding something back after a long postseason last year etc and his answer was something like "I don't really care what I'm throwing as long as I'm getting people out" Didn't, but he told Bernstein and Goff that he feels like he could dial up more velo if he wanted
  7. He looks like he's trying not to over-throw, to me. And the command of his curve has been quite good. Yeah, I've got no issues with what I'm seeing. He's pitching well. He made one mistake at a bad time. But, he's pitching really well. His stuff is probably still filthy, even at 91-92. And maybe him taking a little off will allow him to regain his command, without losing much of his nastiness. Hell, Kyle Hendricks can do it throwing 82 mph. So I'm not super worried about it. But, he's a guy that been injured before, has unorthodox mechanics, has had trouble with his mechanics (last year), now is showing a drop in velo (even if it's due to trying to fix the mechanical issues), he's been bad in the past. It seems like too many red flags, long-term. He's not a Jon Lester that you just plug in and not worry about. There's always something that feels like it could unravel at any moment. So, you take his best seasons, which were some of the finest seasons in franchise history. And then you let someone else worry about all the rest when he is old and getting paid a trillion dollars. And you do it all over again with Eddie butler. I just wish we hadn't wasted the first year of God mode Jake that people didn't even notice.

  9. I'm telling you guys, we're not horsefeathering trading Ian happ. He's our zobrist replacing dong machine and it'll be glorious.
  10. weird, i feel sorta the opposite. like he seems to hit a ton of pop ups and stuff, especially when he falls into his ruts.
  11. There's a video showing them a few posts up from yours. They look exactly like you'd expect indoor bullpens to look.
  12. [tweet] [/tweet] i still hate zobrist in RF but at least baez can mash lefties, so whatever
  13. Because you are incapable of nuanced thought I'll take this year's 2-2 over last year's 3-1. it's 4 games...two losses don't really have any tangible impact in and of themselves on the outcome of this season, but there might be things that happen within those 4 games that bode well or poorly for the rest of the season.
