I don't think that's an irrational fear, but I think it's logical for him to try and close holes in his game. Sure he wasn't lacking for power overall, but if you're not driving the ball the other way then unless you're on top of the plate Rizzo style then guys with stuff can pitch around your power. I don't disagree with the premise, but if it were that easy, why didn't pitchers get around it last year?
