  1. I just wanna say again how great this post is and that it deserves to have the most (non-world series) likes in the nsb little heart button era.
  2. Tonight would've been so much better if we had actually had heyward at his real position the whole game
  3. LOL. Guys I would prefer in that situation: Bryant Rizzo Schwarbs Contreras Russell To each their own I guess. Zobrist has arguably the best eye on the team and doesn't strike out in those situations too often. We needed contact to move the runners along, it just didn't work out. I def wouldn't prefer Russell (not even remotely) in that spot, and prob not Contreras, but otherwise yah.
  4. Sorry that's dumb Not really. It's a 162 game season. The bullpen has been encouraging
  5. Zobrist Is both the reason we won't win and the reason we haven't lost
  6. Imagine if heyward isn't broken, either, lmao don't worry, he's still broken Uhhhh did you SEE that foul ball he hit?
  7. Imagine if heyward isn't broken, either, lmao
  8. It's pretty hilarious that we lost 8 times to Kirk newenheis last year and we still won 103 games
  9. I don't think that's an irrational fear, but I think it's logical for him to try and close holes in his game. Sure he wasn't lacking for power overall, but if you're not driving the ball the other way then unless you're on top of the plate Rizzo style then guys with stuff can pitch around your power. I don't disagree with the premise, but if it were that easy, why didn't pitchers get around it last year?
  10. Am I the only one irrationally fearful that Bryant's off-season efforts to go to RF more are gonna turn him back into the first half 2015 KB who didn't homer that much and struggled terribly for a month? Why fix what wasn't even close to broken? Who cares where your dongs go?
  11. Mostly tbh it's that seeing zobrist play rf is extremely jarring when used to j hey
  12. I'll take the Almora heyward of with zobrist at 2b against this OF with Baez at 2b. Given the SP was Anderson, I thought the alignment tonight was appropriate. I just don't think zobrist's defense hurts you that much at 2b, even with a gb guy, vs the huge overall drop off in of defense.
  13. You keep forgetting to mention, though, this is happening to get arguably the best defensive second baseman in the majors in the lineup. I'll take the Almora heyward of with zobrist at 2b against this OF with Baez at 2b.
  14. So you want to bench Baez? Bench Zobrist? I don't get your point Yes I want Baez on the bench most games against righties.
  15. I have a great idea. Let's take our elite difference making defensive right fielder who might not be able to hit anymore, make him a decent defensive CF who might not be able to hit and replace him with a bad RFer.
