  1. Harper is younger and at least as good... But if they want to (and can - assuming he wants to stay) keep Bryant, it's those lesser guys who will go.
  2. and i'm not saying this should or will happen, but another thing i don't understand is the fear that if we sign bryce harper, we might not be able to extend someone down the road...well, uh, ok, but we have bryce harper
  3. the 2nd best player in the game at age 26 is absolutely the type of guy you invest heavily in
  4. ARod was absolutely worth his deal/s. Stanton’s doing fine so far too. Don't forget Beltran, which was pretty damn huge at the time.
  5. i have a drunkenly purchased ben gordon jersey (bought after he hit a game winner or something and i was at the game) that i have never worn aside from that night...it's at the back of my closet at my mom's house somewhere.
  6. man that was fun... i'll always have a little what could have been feeling that year re: what happened with eddy curry. team was really damn good after the 0-9 start.
  7. Using the Japanese media for that? Why wouldn't Theo just use Gammons as his shill as he usually does?
  8. i was gonna say easily machado (and prob still do) but did anyone notice what a pooey (by his standards) 2017 he had?
  9. i always preferred maria maria off that album
  10. I knew it was old. That was kind of the point (how much worse it's beginning to look in hindsight)...I'm not sure if the other replies were immediately aware, tho.
  11. Nah.
  12. what was that one story about his hotel room reeking of weed at the cubs convention back in like 09
  13. I wonder how Rizzo feels about that Jason Heyward contract.
  14. That speculation is dumb for a lot of reasons.
  15. [tweet] [/tweet]
  16. Apparently, Shaheen (among others) is questionable for Saturday. [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. Kerry fixed the glitch
  18. i can't even begin to understand how "omg this guy is too unconventional to work" could be a thought after 5-6 years of proven success scouting him out of college? sure, fine. as a rookie after a few games? ok. debating whether russell wilson's playing style can achieve really good results at this point is like trying to argue that water isn't wet
  19. wait i just re-read this... are you implying that if you like the NBA there's no reason not to also like watching the WNBA, here, or are those separate thoughts? I don't watch the WNBA, but I don't watch the NBA or NCAAB either. That thing right there, just before the word that, is a period, used to denote the end of a sentence. The next sentence I wrote was I don't care about men's or women's track, but if you like one there really isn't much reason to not like the other. Those are two different sentences noting two different thoughts. ok, i just wasn't sure if you were tying those two thoughts together, since they are somewhat related. to me the first sentence read like "yeah, i don't like the wnba but i don't like basketball at all," followed by a sentence that said that if you like men's track, there's no reason not to like women's track" (a thought i'd say i probably agree with on its own). so i wasn't sure if you meant for those two to interplay as a general rule beyond the references to those specific sports. regardless, yeah, i watch mlb, nba, and the nfl, and really just one team in each.
