  1. OK, so the point at issue was whether it was risky or very risky. Got it.
  2. Don't forget Jacque to further your argument.
  3. Because it tells us that Dusty has at least some brain activity. the squeeze is little more than a show off move for the manager. it's unnecessarily risky. Not with a great bunter like Pierre hitting. It's not very risky at all. . you do realize that he ended up getting a hit, right? wouldn't you take that over a run scoring sac bunt or a rally killing caught stealing? Did I say I wanted him to do a squeeze? I just argued against you, that it's not much of a risk when you have one of the best bunters at the plate. And he just explained exactly why it is a risk.
  4. Jacque Jones is just terrible. I mean, I knew that, but I just felt the need to say it.
  5. fixed Didn't even see that I was beat to it. By a mile.
  6. SLAP NASTY with the RBI single!!!
  7. Scrappy, energetic Eckstein and Miles.. They're so awesome!
  8. Murt with the walk. I love that kid.
  9. And you get to take joy in the suffering of the Cards' announcers too. :D
  10. Right after a Neifi Perez tailor-made DP ball, no less.
  11. Agreed. The Cards big 3 is better than the Cubs big 3. I'd take Cubs other 5 vs. the Cards 5, though. I'm just curious as to who is the 3rd of our big 3. Is it the guy who's on the bench today? Barrett, but there's not a lot of difference. I was trying to decide between the two. It could always be Murton, though. Never know.
  12. Agreed. The Cards big 3 is better than the Cubs big 3. I'd take Cubs other 5 vs. the Cards 5, though. Really? The only position I see the Cubs are clearly better is C and maybe LF. Looking things over again I'd take the Cards lineup but maybe that's my bias. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see Ramirez post better offensive numbers than Rolen. Walker is clearly better than what the Cards have at 2B. You already mentioned C and LF. Our RF's are equally crappy.

  14. Kingman's career ops was .780, Dunn's is .891 and he hasn't even reached his prime yet. That's not a very good comparison. Not even close. Kingman didn't have near Dunn's AWESOME plate discipline.

Other than Andre Miller, who was I hard on? Marbury? I'd hardly call him bad.
  16. MNF isn't the big deal matchup anymore. Sunday Nights will be the featured NFL matchups of the week now. Still not sure why they would choose that game... Arizona got the Edge... I guess... :?:
  17. Oh, but wait.. he did... Doesn't matter, though. He's "soft."
