    insightful post. Indeed. There's no insight to be had with this subject, so I did the best I could. Until he's back, he's injured. That's pretty much it. Yep. You've made your view on this issue known plenty of times in the past already. A lot, if not most, of the rest of us, however, would like the latest updates on their progress, even if you deem them insignificant.

    Walker's arm isn't that weak. That particular play is possibly the worst possible throw an infielder has to make. I'm not necessarily calling him out on that particular throw. His arm is pretty weak, though, and I'm a huge Walker fan.

    Is it possible that Walkah's arm is so weak because he's a natural lefty and at some point in his life decided to learn to throw righty so he could play an IF position (other than 1B)? Just a theory.

    well, blanco almost always hit 8th when he played last year. i don't think this suggests that dusty believes the 2 hole is suited for anyone but the second baseman. True, but so did Barrett, right?

    I didn't want to start a big thing here...but I'm assuming you were saying that the reason Neifi hit 2nd yesterday was because he didn't want to put that kind of pressure on Ronny or Murton. Aside from the fact that he could've still hit Barrett 2nd yesterday if that was his intent, what would you say Dusty's reasoning was for hitting Neifi second so much last year, when he wouldn't have been worried about putting pressure on the young guns...

    Of course, the only reason the crap pitchers are staying in long is because they're having success. So, no, you don't want them staying in the game for a long time. You want to beat them up and knock them out of the game.

    OK. So Blanco isn't in the 6 hole. Good. On the other hand, since this suggests that Dusty isn't dead set on keeping the positions hitting in the same spot (i.e. 2B must hit 2nd, or the ridiculousness of batting Sammy's replacements 3rd in 2003), does it mean that Dusty thinks that Neifi is suited to the 2 hole? I don't even know what to say about that.

    I saw them. Kinda stupid looking, but no worse than the stupid SEARS logos and whatever else might've been all over the dugout walls over the last couple years.
