  1. Taken from the ChicagoBears.com Message Board... LOL, if they really said this, they have no idea what they're in for. If teams keep saying this kind of stuff, I can't see how we'll ever have a let down game.
  2. Probably the best name I've heard mentioned yet. I'd still rather have Dierker or Francona...(I can dream, right?)
  3. You guys can't be serious. I totally had a dream about this game last night too. WTH is wrong with us? They won.. Rex threw for two TDs and an INT. And, for whatever reason, they wore the white jerseys and the white pants (Jauron-era style).
  4. He's Dusty without the entertaining quotes.
  5. My mouth has a beer game, I'm going to miss it. Mine too. Creepy.
  6. I agree with the first line. One year deal only. Around the same amount of money he made this season. But the second line, who cares how he gets on base really. A .336 OBP isn't great, but it is far from terrible and about what he usually puts up. A .336 OBP for just about anyone other than a #7 or #8 hitter is terrible! Fixed.
  7. I've had similar cautious sentiments all season. And now the Bears are giving 11, and the line is holding steady. I believe the Vikings game was the come out flat game, and I really expect Lovie and the coaches to prevent that this time. But I don't see them dominating like they have in 3 of the first 4 games. Honestly, assuming they avoid coming out flat, I don't see how they won't dominate this game. Buffalo's o-line has holes (Hell, they have Mike Gandy starting) and our front four is going to be in Losman's face all day. I see a very dominant day defensively leading to many opportunities to score for the offense. 24-6
  8. I think the Yankees and Indians might have something to say about that. Not to mention the fact that the failure of the Sox had nothing at all to do with some absurd counterintuitive notion that a better offense hurt them and everything to do with the fact that their pitching just wasn't nearly as good.
  9. Reading the arguments of baseball7897 in this thread makes me want to rip out all my hair and bang my head against the wall.
  10. They also think (rightly or wrongly) that Girardi blew out one of their young arms after asking the starter to come back and pitch after a rain delay. Joe also once said, as a catcher for the Cubs, that he noticed something was off in a pitcher's delivery, but didn't say anything at the time. And that pitcher went on the DL soon after. I think it was Lieber, though not sure. I think you're right.
  11. OK... I'll be the first to say it.. Cuban, where you at?
  12. Frankly, I want niether one, but Girardi is the less bad choice at this point.
  13. Ugh. That was my #1 choice
  14. Rex in the running for FedEx Air Player of the Week again... http://www.nfl.com/partners/fedex/ Also, SI article about Rex... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/em_swift/10/02/oct2.bears.swift/index.html
  15. I did. Honestly. Been pimping Rex since before the 2003 draft.
  16. Exactly. 16-0 (19-0) has never been done.
  17. Fixed and yes. Hey now, 4 games at a time. Honestly, though, I look at the schedule, and every game looks winnable. Obviously, it's never been done. It's hard to stay that consistent. But I do feel like we're set up as good as anyone ever has been to make a run at it.
  18. I doubt it. Not at home. We're too good at home. I could see a let down happening on the road, but not here.
  19. Anyone think NBC is gonna use their rights to step in and try to pick up some more Bears games this year? The bandwagon is really loading up, Theisman and Golic both agreed on Mike & Mike that the Bears are, without question, the best team in the league right now. I bet that New England matchup will wind up on Sunday Night Football.
  20. "The Bears were Arnold last night." - heard on Mike and Mike this morning. They were talking about how Ferrigno and Arnold would compete, and people would try and compare them and really figure out who was better, but that when they'd actually compete and line up against eachother, Arnold was clearly superior. Gotta love the analogy. :D
  21. So, uh.... How sexy IS Rexy? :D :D
  22. Guys... Can we almost reasonably expect 8-0??  Next four games (as I'm sure most of you know) Buffalo @ Arizona San Francisco Miami
