    Fixed and yes. Hey now, 4 games at a time. :lol: Honestly, though, I look at the schedule, and every game looks winnable. Obviously, it's never been done. It's hard to stay that consistent. But I do feel like we're set up as good as anyone ever has been to make a run at it.

    I doubt it. Not at home. We're too good at home. I could see a let down happening on the road, but not here.

    Anyone think NBC is gonna use their rights to step in and try to pick up some more Bears games this year? The bandwagon is really loading up, Theisman and Golic both agreed on Mike & Mike that the Bears are, without question, the best team in the league right now. I bet that New England matchup will wind up on Sunday Night Football.

    "The Bears were Arnold last night." - heard on Mike and Mike this morning. They were talking about how Ferrigno and Arnold would compete, and people would try and compare them and really figure out who was better, but that when they'd actually compete and line up against eachother, Arnold was clearly superior. Gotta love the analogy. :D

    Well, if you buy into the idea that Dusty abused and pretty much destroyed our pitchers in 2003 (and the way he handled Z today shows he hasn't learned a damn thing), then you could definitely make a case for Dusty.

    I think a lot of it depends on this season. How durable he proves to be (personally, I think his injuries were a fluke; don't see how a ligament tear and a broken ankle can be linked to any common cause) will be a big factor. If he plays 15-16 games, puts up good numbers, and the Bears have success in the playoffs (hell, even if they don't), I think you have to make an effort to lock him up after this season. The beauty of it is that NFL contracts aren't guaranteed. I think the cheapest we'll get him while still having a good idea of how productive he can be with this team will be after this season.

    Sure, Houston Wade Miller at 100% would be better - but I'm not counting on 1999 Wood and 2003 Prior . . . I wouldn't count on fresh off Tommy John and still rehabbing Kerry Wood either. :wink:

    Sac bunting is like taking insurance in blackjack. It might seem like the safe move at the time it's presented to you, but in the long run it just doesn't pay.

    Seriously, how anyone could say the Marlins job is more attractive than any job (besides maybe Tampa Bay), no matter how much young talent they have, is beyond me. To say that it's a more attractive position than one in Chicago (particularly right now, while expectations are minimal)...I'm speechless, and I'm not just saying that.

    The fact that Alexander is out for weeks probably helps our standing in that regard as well (aside from just our game with them).

    Shaun Alexander is out for this weekend's game...broken foot, just heard on the Score. It's a shame, now people will have another excuse when the Bears beat Seattle. Plus, he hasn't been running all that great this year, anyway.
