    Yep. One thing this team has is just absolutely SICK depth. Also, while BG is no superstar at this stage in his career, he is definitely someone I'd feel comfortable going to for the big shot late. I'm starting to feel similarly about Hinrich too.

    Isn't there a rookie cap? Am I crazy? He's probably going to get a ton of money from Nike before he even signs his first pro contract, but I don't think paying him would be a problem for the Bulls until after his 3rd season, at which point Wallace is about to be off the books.

    What do you do with the 75 million dollar center you just got and the good looking young power forward the Bulls drafted? You let Oden play and develop behind Wallace for 2, maybe 3 years. Wallace only has one maybe two more effective years left after this, anyway. You do not pass on a Greg Oden because you have Ben Wallace. Sure, it's a rare predicament where a championship contending team has a lottery pick, but it's a nice problem to have. :D

    Yea. It's not news. Been known since training camp, if I remember right.

    He probably would have if the Lee deal hadn't materialized. I will say at least Hendry was good enough to pull that deal off. But back then, he was dealing from a position of strength. Now he's not, and I don't see how he rebuilds this ballclub in its current state, with precious few chips to deal with, and real limits on the amount of money he can spend. :?: Unless I'm mistaken, by most accounts he'll have nearly 40 million to play with this offseason...

    To reiterate... Releasing Mark Prior to avoid paying his salary is quite possibly one of the worst ideas anyone has ever come up with.

    Somebody get Ron Gant on the phone. Is Dave Justice still serviceable? :lol: Sid Bream anyone? Jeff Blauser? Surely they'd have better luck with him than we did. :x Funny thing is, he wasn't nearly as bad as people wanted to believe. I mean, he was bad, dont' get me wrong, but I would've taken that .340-.350 OBP out of the leadoff spot over Pierre. Hell, in 1999 he was clearly better than JP of 2006.

    Of course, you could also say that had Grossman not thrown those interceptions, those games wouldn't have even been in question and the better team just managed to win despite themselves in both cases. I'm just sayin.
