  1. Seriously, though, body language aside, his wording implied that there are negotiations to (not) comment on in-season, which is news in and of itself.
  2. Nah. He's looked like a defeated sad man every time I've seen him behind a mic for the past couple of years with few exceptions. He was smiling through that whole thing. Maybe he found some of Joe's wine under the table.
  3. Look at that horsefeathers eating grin through the entire thing. That is so not Jed's MO.
  4. Check out the future teammates right here
  5. Sure seemed like Jed was projecting that Bellinger extension talks were going and going well last night. Rarely see him talking like that. And by all accounts I've heard, Bellinger loves it here. Given what is on this upcoming market sans-Ohtani (who we will sign), I'm good with holding my nose and extending him. We need him.
  6. lmao at how the brewers just lost that game to the nationals
  7. I'm wondering if they hadn't already gotten a hard no from his camp, one way or another. I vaguely remember Shohei having no interest in either NY team when he was posted (even though they always get brought up in these situations because NY).
  8. This is my kinda propaganda
  9. Yep. In all seriousness, at the very least, they were always going to be doing at least that. Surprised people are at all surprised at this report.
  10. How the hell do the Roberts and Peavy situations compare at all lol
  11. Whole lot of defense mechanisming in this thread. Ohtani or bust. It's happening.
  12. He came on straight after they played a montage making fun of the Cardinal booth's reaction last night followed up by Boog and JD's call. It was great. And Chip further confirmed that he is an abject moron.
  13. And injuries to their two best position players
  14. Arbitrary endpoints and all, but they're 23-15 since June 9th (first win after the sweep to the Angels). That's .605 ball or a 98 win pace, with one of the league's easiest schedules coming up.
  15. I guess I can't delete posts again.
  16. IDK I thought he was pretty clearly the most obvious extension guy. Jaylon Johnson and Mooney are in a weird spot with the injuries and lack of production last year and they probably think they can do better if they play out this season.
  17. Are you just leaning into the bit right now? Tell me you're leaning into the bit.
