    He ripped a line drive to the opposite field, I'll take that as a result of the approach. i won't... his approach is awful. He's been swinging early in every at bat and not coincidentally, he hasn't had productive at bats. How can you fault him for swinging at a good pitch and hammering it? If he pops up a borderline strike on the first pitch, then fine, but a good pitch to hit is a good pitch at 0-0 and 2-1.

    YOU DIDN'T HAVE EXPRESS WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM MLB!?!?!?!?!?! Does somebody have the clip from Family Guy when Peter only has implied oral consent, and MLB comes in a shoots up his TV and VCR? A quick search on youtube found nothing. Its the NFL I believe, that could be why your search isn't working. And he has express written from the network, but not the league. I think the "implied oral consent" is from the Simpsons Yeah, he's trying to tape Monday Night Football. It's the Christmas episode where Lois goes crazy near the end.

    Probably not what you're looking for, but "How Soccer Explains the World" by Franklin Foer is a pretty good read. Relates political/social situations in different places and how they are manifested in soccer in those places.

    Yeah, he and EPatt are both good fits. Murton's a good enough player that he might fetch Harden by himself depending on how desperate the A's are for offense and how much time Harden misses.

    I'm not so sure Zambrano gets traded. Besides, CC Sabathia is also going to be on the market if the Indians are out of it, and Rich Harden will probably also be on the market. I don't think the Cubs are ballsy enough to do it, but I'd still move Z for an impact bat, then try and trade off Jones and a reliever and a couple prospects for a starter. Imagine if we did something like Z for A-Rod then got Harden for EPatt + a pitching prospect(of varying value depending on what the view of Harden's health is from Veal/Gallagher to someone like Adkins).
