Did you know.... Last year Murton hit .212/.257/.227/.484 last June, in 70 PA's(to compare, he has 57 or 60 this year, depending on if BR has updated or not). He then went on to put up an OPS north of .900 for the last 3 months(~250 PA's). The sample is not nearly enough to be decisive about his future.
this has never, ever been funny Was it suppose to be? what other purpose would it have? Go mow your yard Derwood = Nick? possibly oh crap, who's nick? Todd Walker's biggest fan.
You're really going to use that as an argument? It wouldn't have been very difficult to find someone better than Dusty, or at the very least someone who wouldn't turn our starters' shoulders into hamburger.
Injuries like Lee, yeah. But the whole Prior/Wood thing it took him years to come up with a contingency for, and he's the one who enabled Dusty to drive our pitchers into the ground.
Both my fantasy teams hope so. On Villanueva, he's not having a very good start to the year. A near 1 K/BB, and his WHIP is 1.34 while having a lower than expected .194 BAA doesn't bode well for his future outings. Of course, with his past success his peripherals will likely improve, but I felt compelled to point it out anyway. Gallardo is good.
Sweet name. The first half anyway. So far this year he's got a .279 BA with a .405 OBP and an 866 OPS. Sounds like a decent hitter, thought USS Mariner says his defense is questionable. I give this trade no percent chance of happening, but we'll see. Yeah, in BA's handbook they list him as a 2B, and say his big body will probably get him moved off of SS. Hopefully he would become a better version of DeRosa.
Ironically, you can catch Bill Walton calling games televised on ESPN, but you won't find him writing for SI. He's the exception to the rule. To be fair, I'm not sure Walton is actually capable of coherent writing.
USS Mariner thinks that a Jacque Jones for Sean Rodriguez (Career stats 2007 stats) works well for both teams. While Rodriguez isn't an immediate addition to the big league club, I'm inclined to agree with him.
it's his equivalent of Bonds' elbow armor. The leagues should really require valid medical reasons for wearing extraneous stuff on their body How is it equivalent to Bonds' elbow pad? What advantage does Hamilton get by wearing the mask, aside from peace of mind?
