  1. Fuentes is, but he's not available.
  2. No doubt that's a popular solution among Cavs fans; those are the two most overpay players on the Cavs roster, especially Hughes. Good luck finding a GM willing to take on either of those contracts without some added talent thrown in by Cleveland to sweeten the deal. For sure, I doubt people are banging down Ferry's door for either of them. Personally I don't think there's a chance in the world that Hughes gets dealt, but I could see some scenario where Gooden gets sent somewhere. There's a rumored Gooden for Bibby deal. I read about that, I didn't notice if it was just some fan's daydream or legitimate. Anyways, this is the Bulls thread. Thomas Gardner is playing for the Bulls Summer League team. Brilliant thinking leaving after your Junior year, TG.
  3. Fielder follows with a home run. You're killing me Francis.
  4. Alright Ryan Braun. We get it, you're a good hitter. Now knock it off with this .350 AVG, 1.100 OPS nonsense.
  5. If Griffey only cost us Marshall, I would be fine with that. We're not going to get him for a couple mediocre prospects and I would be fine dealing one of our soft-tossing lefties for a huge left-handed bat. Yes it would create somewhat of a hole in the 5 spot, but most other teams have that same hole. but creating a hole to fix another is lateral progression. If we had someone who was near ML-ready even to take the reins over the 5th starter spot I'd be fine with moving Marshall, but since Dempster would be the best canidate when he gets back, I'd rather not go down that path. gaining Griffey closes a bigger hole than losing Marshall will create Floyd/Fontenot > Mateo/Gallagher/Miller/Dempster/Marmol EDIT: Can't believe I forgot Murton. Murton >> Mateo/Gallagher/Miller/Dempster/Marmol/Ichiro/Guzman
  6. He's the guy who said he was going to retire around age 31, right? That was a while back though, I wonder if he's commented on it since then.
  7. Maybe it's the rest of his minor league track record... You mean his .294/.353/.459/.812 line while being 1-2 years younger than his level? What of it?
  8. Some of you still need to sign up for the Premiership Fantasy League. I think there's only 4 of us right now in the NSBB league.
  9. The video is rather unclear...although a hand is reaching over the fence, at least from the youtube video its not clear whether that is where the ball went. Yeah, it looks like he could've caught it much higher and the motion took his hand downward.
  10. I'm not sure how one comes to that conclusion. It's not as if he did nothing in the majors. He looked really good at times. He had a 2 week slump, and they didn't allow him to work through that. Yes, this. And it's not as if they flew him to the majors. He was in his second season of AAA and hit nearly .400 for a 1.000+ OPS in around 150 PA's.
  11. Barney was 2 for 5 with a double. Thomas was 1 for 5 with a triple and 2 Ks.
  12. Against Oswalt? I'm not optimistic. Don't we usually own oswalt? i think like a 3.9ERA if i remember correctly. someone posted it a day or two ago 3.77 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, .282 BAA
  13. well it certainly isn't but he's slugging well and his OBP is off the charts. I think it will come, just a long road back from a broken wrist from what i've heard. takes along time before you can regain full strength and sometimes you subconsciously favor it. Problem is that he's hitting for less power as the year goes on.
  14. I really do think Hendry and Wayne Krivsky are one in the same. We don't need more bullpen help. We need offense from RF, CF, C, SS. Hendry is like the kid who pays his friend 10 bucks for the extra snickers bar his friend has. Krivsky is the kid who gives his brand new bike for the snickers.
  15. PC sucks, but he's been great today... His pitch count is fine, he's on pace to make it through 7 at a normal pitch count(even though he threw 20 in the first), he may even go 8 if he has a quick inning since he's been cruising so much and not allowing many baserunners.
  16. No, if he were having a great rebound year he would have an extra base hit since the Reagan administration. I am nothing but pleased with Lee, just concered about his power. Seconded If you are concerned with his power than you are something other than pleased. You are concerned, as you should be. Disagree. Good OBP, OPS, AVG, Lots of doubles and good defense. I'd love to see more homers from the entire lineup but Lee's producing. The doubles have disappeared. Look at it month by month.

  18. I strongly disagree. The PS3 was money wasted for me. Really? I just bought it after the price drop..They just has the E3 Game Expo..There is tonsss of great games coming out that they annouced.. what did you pay for it? 500.00..And you get a free controller also which is a 50.00 value..I bought it at circuit city, I heard sales have gone crazy now and everywhere is sold out and its number 1 on amazon.com now too..check out these sites for games and everything about it..psxextreme.com and ign.com You can get a rebate form for 5 free blu-ray movies too. Amazon has the form, I don't think you had to buy the PS3 from there to use it.
