I didn't look at any others, but Dempster's looks fine. 1 K in 2.0 IP = .5K/IP or 4.5/9IP After looking at it a bit further, it's just the difference in decimal places where you round off partial IPs. Looks like the database is using .333 or something longer than .3 for thirds of an inning. My mistake. -

His name just showed up on the I-Cubs roster, so I think we have a winner. I assume he'll be replacing Nelson at 3rd? Simokaitis is listed on Iowa's roster as well. Replacing Rojas at SS? Nice. It's not like the I-Cubs need anymore help offensively lol. I'm assuming Craig will take over at 1B and let Kroeger go back to the OF. Moore is back to play 3B. How would you like to pitch to 1B Craig .931 2B Patterson .855 3B Moore .890 OF Pie 1.017 OF Murton .979 OF Kroeger .938 C Soto 1.017 And Craig's numbers are from the SL where OPS averages about .050 less than PCL And Cedeno's .900+ OPS at SS just got promoted. Staggering. -

I think the point is that it's a lousy division if .500 gets you to first place, I'm pretty sure it wasn't a commentary about the talent level. I guess if 500 is you gauge and your only talking win and loss % then thats great talk, I thought this was forum to talk about future major leaguers and not win/loss % ? It was a throwaway comment when talking about the standings in the NWL, not intended to be any type of analysis on the players involved(although Truffle can correct me if I'm wrong). -
You honestly think he's not going to bounce back? Someone else broke their wrist and had a poor power year the following year only to return the year after (I can't remember who it was right now). I don't think you can guarantee it will come back in the slightest. Considering all his other abilities it's not making him some sort of drag on the payroll or team, but if we're moving him to the OF(and negating one of the aforementioned other abilities), then it might be time to re-evaluate.

I wasn't a huge fan of Lilly's contract(and I was a big proponent of getting Schmidt), but I underestimated him as a pitcher, even if he does regress from his current performance. -
Maybe he's talking about him tracking balls into short right field. If we're going outside the box enough to trade for a 1B(Teixeira!) and move Lee to the OF, it might be a better allocation of resources just to trade Lee. His value to another team as a 1B is greater than his value to us as an OF because of his defense. He also has a large contract, and there's the thing about him not hitting for very much power. He'd make a great centerpiece for A-Rod if you had Teixeira in hand...

Kroeger doesn't turn 25 until the end of next month(which happens to be the end of the minor league season), so for all intents and purposes he's a 24 year old this year.

Someone brought it up when he was raking at AA, and I wanted to wait and see how he handled AAA since AA had never been the problem with him. After tonight his OPS is now north of .950 at AAA, with 15/20 BB/K in ~130 PA's. I'm really curious to see if he could handle a big league spot in some capacity, but the circumstances just don't seem to be right with the 40 man roster as it is.

He's been less than his usual self this year, he's a potential free agent, and they have had several relievers performing as well or better to pick up slack from trading him. I suppose. They still just took one of their better arms out of their bullpen in the middle of a pennant race. Prospects or not, it is odd to be selling key pieces when you are leading the WC race. It'd be similar to us trading Wuertz for a pretty impressive prospect haul, if Wuertz were a potential FA.

Wow, Inman's one of their stud prospects, isn't he? I've always liked Linebrink, hopefully he falls off a cliff in the second half. EDIT: From BA's handbook this year. Inman is #3, Thatcher is #23, and Garrison is #27 That's quite the haul for Towers, he is owning the trade market this year.
