How exactly do you go about replacing Hill? He's a top 20-40 starter in the game under team control for the forseeable future. Wow, that is a bold statement. I think that that this is wildly untrue but I would be happy to listen to you prove it. I'm a bit late, but since you asked me and I'm not a huge fan of VORP, I'll lay it out for you. As of today, among qualified starters(or at least 80 IP) Hill is: 31st in ERA 13th in WHIP 19th in K/9 34th in K/BB 21st in Average Game Score (whatever that's worth) 13th in Batting Average against 18th in OBP against 27th in OPS against So, there you have it. What's the justification for Hill being outside the Top 40?

I may have to consult a calculator, but I believe that brings him up to TWO AA walks, huzzah! Boise leads 5-3 in the first game of their doubleheader(Hempy started). Thomas and Smith are 0/1 with a walk, Wright is 2/2, and Donaldson is 1/2 with a double. I think they should look at promoting Wright pretty soon, with projects like Burke and Rundle both in Boise it's really not fair that they can't play everyday because Wright is occupying a corner OF spot. -

My suggestion wasn't for us to get both Ethier and Vazquez, there's no way we get the 2 best and highest profile players in a 3 way deal like that. Vazquez goes to the Dodgers, Ethier comes here, and Murton + change from us and LA goes to the ChiSox. We don't get an improvement in the rotation, but we fill out RF cheaply for the forseeable future without really dealing much of consequence. -
