For whatever it's worth, Greinke doesn't have a pronounced home/road split. Well, at least he didn't before his sample-skewing beatdown the Sox gave him in his last outing. Maybe we could hook him up with the same sport psychologist that Hill talks to.

I totally thought Kyle was kidding and going to make a joke, since I'd never seen him post in the Soccer thread and didn't know the game was slightly tape delayed. Oh well, I'm not going to get home to see the start anyway.

I'm not quite sure how to prove this, but with the SOS argument that keeps coming from the Brewers fans, I wonder how much of the difference is that the Brewers got to play 6 games against the Cubs, and the Cubs had 6 games against the Brewers. Anyone able to show what would happen if the Cubs and Brewers had "played themselves", instead of each other, so to speak? -

Hoping for a good outing out of Lilly tonight. In Petco at night to help his fly ball tendencies, against a bad lineup whose two best(only?) hitters are LH. If he can throw strikes he could have a really good outing, I'm hoping for 8 IP.

Soriano. He'll have priority over Acosta in the Atlanta pen. Atlanta will probably win more games than the Cards going forward. Franklin has been peripherally terrible. LaRussa has been moving Perez slowly to the end of the game, and could supplant Franklin before long, especially if Franklin's peripherals catch up to him.

The bonus wasn't disclosed when he did sign and he wasn't a high profile signing, so it was likely a 5-figure bonus. I don't know, but he was sent directly to the states at a rather young age, and directly installed into the regular rotation. Few guys the age he was when signed go straight to the states, or get the regular innings he got. Point is, by his first summer they were obviously treating him like a prospect. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if he signed for 6 figures! Nice to see him with a strong debut. Any update on whether or not Ceda is hurt, getting pulled after 4 good innings? Sure hope he's OK. Didn't Raisin say it was a rain delay? -

Wellington Castillo with another good night at AA, 3 for 5 Sam Fuld is 3 for 3 with a double and has thrown out 2 baserunners(1 at 2B, 1 at 3B) -
Easily outside, but because it came from a RH across the plate and the bases are loaded with 3 balls, he got the call
