In my opinion, it's the absolutes without details, like USS mentioned. For anyone on this board, if you say something with conviction and state it like fact(Crane Kenney is inept, Bob Howry is a terrible pitcher), people who disagree, or simply would like to hear more about it, question that person for details(here's Bob Howry's craptacular ERA). Problem is that RedIvy can't/refused/didn't have details for those convictions, so all the posters here are left with nothing but that original declaration. In general, if you want to say something as an absolute, be prepared to detail your position. If you don't want to or can't divulge that information, then the original statement needs to be much more tempered. In essence, saying "this is the way it is but I can't say why" acts only as an irritant to others. Just my 2 cents.
