  1. I'm gonna be pissed if Davis picks somebody off in this game. Like most pitchers with "great pickoff moves", his is a terrible balk that never gets called.
  2. How many web gems have we seen from Arizona in this series? closer to 10? Ridiculous.
  3. If you love the Cubs, how about talking about any of the other players on the team without tracing it back to Soriano?
  4. Your points would be taken much more seriously if you posted about other topics besides Soriano on occasion, or at all.
  5. The only logical explanation is that Hill is the spawn of Storm from X-Men.
  6. He's 100% right.
  7. Honestly, I haven't paid attention to Johnson in a long time.
  8. He was in a group though, right? Was it Canning's group?
  9. Wasn't there another well known name besides Cuban and Canning that was going to bid? One with Chicago ties? Or am I crazy?
  10. That's not really the same at all. People taking a longer than expected time to come back from injury is completely different than expecting several established hitters to perform after a 5 game slump.
  11. I think I read that last sentence 20 times before I figured out it. Regardless, I've played on many a team, teams with friends, teams with guys I didn't particularly like. When you're doing well, there's no issues. When you're doing poorly, regardless of how tight the group was, there was some strife. Most people have the causation wrong when it comes to winning and "chemistry".
  12. Why? I'm going to go with "because LaRussa is a deranged, hypocritical idiot when it comes to beanball matters".
  13. That HR raised Cerda's SLG 70 points. He's really shown some remarkable plate discipline at Mesa too, I'm pretty happy with his pro debut. Any reports on how his defense has come along?
  14. I think the certainty of that statement is very much in doubt.
  15. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/info/affiliations.jsp
  16. What, you don't think that Best Buy brand LCD came from Brown's living room?
  17. That's really not that steep a price at all if Fuentes is going to be Type A.
  18. The pitcher(s) that pitched those other 60 innings would have to have an ERA over 8.82 in order for the cumulative ERA to be higher than the 220 IP, 4.55 ERA guy.
  19. I'm okay with the Brewers sweeping if they keep pulling comebacks like this and break the Cardinals' spirit. It'd be worth it to be neck and neck with the Brewers as long as we didn't hear from the Cards again.
  20. Welington Castillo still with an OPS over .950 after ~110 PA's in AA. He's slugging over .900 against LHP for Tennessee.
  21. Why is Kosuke getting double switched out of the game, he has like half the team's hits since the all star break Okay WGN, you can't start the broadcast right, you break into commercial during at bats, and now you can't tell the difference between Fukudome and Edmonds. Turrible
  22. Does it matter? Play an outfield of Bay/McLouth/McCutcheon however you want left to right. Doumit can be in the mix too.
  23. DeRosa could use a day off. This makes 20 straight starts for him(there's the all star break, meh), and he's 5 for his last 33 for a .524 OPS.
