  1. Okay, I need a ton of scoring from New Orleans without Lance Moore doing anything. Make it happen.
  2. If Z wasn't poised out there, what would it look like if he was? The worst thing he did during that sequence of errors was smile and stick out his tongue, and maybe hop with excitement as the first one was being fielded(loose usage of the term). Then he went back to striking guys out and getting ground balls.
  3. Mizzou/OSU will be on ESPN. This game worries me quite a bit. There aren't too many offenses that I think are capable of hanging with Mizzou, but I think OK State might be able to. Good thing it's at home and on a big stage.
  4. Thank you for keeping me from sports armageddon, Mizzou.
  5. In determining whether or not a QB crossed the line of scrimmage for an illegal forward pass, is it where his feet are or where the ball is? McCoy just got a TD pass out of a desperation flip around the LOS. EDIT: After the break they say as long as the full body isn't across, then it's a legal pass.
  6. Are you kidding me Kentucky, how do you unsuccessfully fall on a fumble that you had time to wait for?
  7. Juice has gotten pretty good and stepping up and throwing the deep ball.
  8. The Cubs beat Billingsley twice this year, scoring 6 runs in 11 IP.
  9. Those LD% aren't very low. What happened to the rest of his at bats? Off the plate?
  10. And then they drop two wide open passes and overthrow a deep route on 4th down.
  11. Oh wow, ISU got the onside kick, and it looks like it was way too close to overturn it.
  12. You could see the anger in his eyes when he turned and walked to the dugout on the dropped strike 3 that got by Martin.
  13. Our grit factor forgot he brought his glove to the ballpark yesterday, so I'm not sure we need more of that.
  14. I'm curious what the attendance figures looked like when Peavy pitched and when anyone not named Peavy pitched. 29,076 - Not Jake Peavy 34,245 - Jake Peavy This season only. In total those numbers come to 67k more than what ESPN has for overall attendance.
  15. Off the bat I said "popped him up". Then I saw Edmonds running and just fell into a state of dismay.
  16. I think I'd like to upgrade at QB. Someone send me an offer if interested.
  17. Pie plays tremendous defense, and he finished the season strong with the bat(.300/.391/.450/.841 since his callup). Over the course of a short series, Pie is just as likely to come up with a hit or two, especially since he's got better history/tools than Hoffpauir.
  18. I have a couple different obligations from 8-9:30 on Wednesday, so I'm hoping that Game 1 is in hand by the time I have to leave. Game 3 is right in the middle of Mizzou-Nebraska, so I have no idea how I'm going to manage that.
  19. Johnson Edge James v. Buffalo Steve Slaton v. Indy
  20. If the Cubs beat the Dodgers, I immediately expect the Cubs to win the World Series. In fact, if the Cubs win the first game against the Dodgers, that will do a lot to get the monkey off their backs and make me feel a lot more confident. I agree for the most part. Scoring a couple runs off Lowe and winning Game 1 eliminates any chance to use that excuse of not being sharp from not having a game of importance in weeks. It also removes the best matchup the Dodgers have. If we get past LA, I'm much more confident in being able to win a 7 game series against Philly or Milwaukee. The world series? It depends on the opponent, but again, the big strength of the Cubs this year was depth throughout, and a 7 game series plays to that strength.
  21. Big thanks to wolfman for not starting his newly acquired QB and WR this week. Took me from a 3 point loss to a 40 point win.
  22. If Virginia Tech's offense can go to Lincoln and put up 35 points in primetime, then I think Mizzou could push 60. Mizzou's history in Lincoln still terrifies me, but the gap between the two teams isn't really different from last year when Mizzou won by 5 touchdowns.
  23. I'll take Gaudin for the last spot.
  24. Calling Clemson a "Top 10 team" and "a quality win" while Illinois "isn't anybody" is hilarious. Playing the rationalization game doesn't get you anywhere. Doing that, Clemson is the team who just lost to Maryland("lost to Middle Tennessee State" Maryland). They gave up 30 points to a Georgia team that scored one touchdown against awful South Carolina. That said, Bama has a stronger resume than Mizzou to this point. Being such the margin of victory advocate that you are, I'm surprised you're not more of a Mizzou fan.
  25. I think that's what Chet Steadman would've said to the media.
