outstanding backwards pitching from Lilly -
Well thank you Fletcher, that wasn't anywhere close either.
-
What in the world is Hurdle so angry about?
-
I think it's just a saying. Gameday led by saying he grounded into a force out. I've seen a lot of should be double plays where they just call it a fielder's choice, and no error. I think they scored it an error cause Hill scored.
-
Oh come on Fletcher that's not even close.

You can't flex the left knee before the right one when you make a pickoff move.

Andy Fletcher is bad at his job today.

Spilborghs has lost 2 homeruns to the weather today.

Lilly threw at least 3 strikes in that at bat.

Minor League Discussion & Boxes 4-12-2009

I'm really interested to see if defensive metrics continue to rate him highly. Like Cro Magnon mentioned elsewhere, he was rated a 2 win defender last year. If that holds up(or even half that holds up), he can be a real asset even if he never ends up as a dynamite hitter. -
Bradley with a possible groin strain

Seriously A quick look at the 40 man shows that our options are Fox or Fuld. On another note, how are there no other infielders or catchers on the 40 man roster? Not that I want a return to the days of 12 middle infielders on the 40 man, but this is ridiculous. Well, the 40 man is also only at 35 right now. So if a need were to arise, there's more than enough space to add somebody. -
This will buy you a ticket out of here so fast you'll get whiplash. This is you one and only warning. I think he's mocking joe morgan's mispronunciation. If you want to make fun of Morgan, how's about we forget the double entendre and use an i to misspell it?
-
Wait, he called the pitch on the SB a strike? Really?
-
That was way too close for on off speed pitch and Jason Kendall.

Hill is just fine as a backup catcher. He's had 3 hits(including a huge HR) and 2 walks this week, not sure what more you want. As for the system, there are quite a few backup catcher types coming through the system, just none quite ready. Steve Clevenger and Welington Castillo are the closest at AA.

You overestimate the middle relief, I think... I said can, not will. That's why it's an important inning.
-
Important inning here. You set down the heart of the order and it can be their last chance at Braun/Fielder hitting again.
-
He really skied it, but it was going to be a couple feet beyond the fence.
-
0-2, jeez

Fukudome was playing awful deep for Rickie Weeks. And why in the world are we seeing old Reds infield footage?
-
Theriot is really driving the ball well so far this year, I love seeing it.
-
Macha looks sleepy.
-
Thank you Soriano, he didn't throw a strike that at bat.
