    My understanding is that you need a cable login to watch MLB.tv postseason streams. In other words, think of that $10 as a charge to stream to a browser/iOS device instead of access to the stream itself. Since FoxSportsGo and TBS online are actual things, it's a pretty pointless $10 to spend. Long story short, you need a cable login or a streaming package like SlingTV or Vue that gives you access to FoxSports 1/TBS. Without them you won't be able to (legally) stream playoff games.

    TBS stream is unwatchable, can't get it to play for more than 5 seconds at a time. Thankfully none of the games that matter will be on there and I can watch the Cubs on FSGo...which is also terrible. Ugh

    SlingTV's Blue package is your most economical bet(aside from bumming someone else's cable login), $25/month for the plan that has both TBS and FS1. Playstation Vue is more expensive but would also work.

    Not picking the best team because they're the best team seems like an implicit admission that this is all silly guesses at the result of coinflips. Harmless fun, but pointless fun too if you have that attitude towards it.
