Eckstein has never faced Wood Nunez is 2 for 10 with a BB and 3 K's. Pujols is 10 for 32 with a double, 3 HR, 4 K'sand 6 walks.

Wow. When was the last time anyone here said "not to complain" without sarcasm? Our bench is really getting thinned out. Dusty could have sent Murton up there though. Murton and Nomar are both better options, but with at least one more PH likely in the game, and the possibility of extras, it's not a terrible decision. However, Macias's "at bat" was an abomination.

Thanks Jon. I went to sleep really early, thanks to the NyQuil (caught a cold on the flight back home). What were you doing in Alaska? Cruise from Vancouver to the Alaskan coast, and then an inland tour with lots of extended family from Chicago. :) And I was beginning to feel bad for you for a moment. -

I have a feeling Z would literally break Taguchi were he to charge the mound. It would not be pretty I have that feeling too, but never underestimate the power of Taguchi. Z's crazy enough to run past Taguchi, pick up his bat, then commit a series of heinous crimes. I pity the fool who decides to charge Krazy Karlos.

Good idea. Hendry can put you in charge of finding an available great defensive catcher who also has an above average bat and a salary of $4,000,000 or less. So just because Barrett is pretty good compared to others, his weaknesses should be ignored. I get what you're saying - I don't think we could find a realistic "upgrade" either. But if defense is the flaw is Barrett's game, who's to say it couldn't be worked on? That's not what BobRoss said. He said "we could probably use an upgrade".
