Why is that? If I weren't a fan I'd still be rooting for the upset. I'm rooting for the Cavs just to see how many ways the talking heads can fall in love with LBJ if he makes it to the ECF. are you saying they don't have a reason to fall in love with him? on a related note, scottie pippen said before the cavs-wizards game that lebron would end up being better than jordan. I'm saying that it's ridiculous how much the media falls over themselves to praise these star players. I can't even imagine MJ playing in this kind of climate. And Pippen is just falling into the idiot climate of stupid statements that abounds on ESPN. Did you see the series he put up? 35.7 PPG on 51% from the field, 7.5 RPG, 5.7 APG to go with two game winners. It's not like this is average performance getting hyped just because he's LeBron.

Do you think LeBron just started wearing 23 in the NBA? Why do people have favorite numbers? Because growing up they imitate their favorite players. And the part about retiring number 23 is pretty ridiculous.

I can't stand the comparison either. Especially when its about age and point averages. Yah, lets punish Jordan for going to college, and for not having a 3 point line growing up. Lebron's team will be swept by Detroit (maybe they can win 1 at home) and then we can stop hearing about him. I also love how his team's struggles last year and the year before were not his fault, it was because he didn't have the surrounding cast. Now when he has the surrounding cast, you never hear about them. Jordan never shot many threes throughout his entire career. LeBron has taken over half as many in his career already(they have similar career percentages). And is he not playing unbelievably well right now? Granted I'm able to avoid sportscenter and other networks "analysis" nowadays, but I haven't really heard many Jordan comparisons. And also, the announcers for every game of the series I watched made special mention of LeBron's supporting cast. There's even shirts about the "James gang".

Dude, it wasn't a real save situation. Dusty will only use Dempster in save situations. And when the Cubs are up by 5 or more. he said basically a save situation which technically is correct since one run for the hoem team wins it Raisin was being sarcastic.

Can someone riddle me why Dempster didn't see the field in this game? In a tie game, every inning after the 8th is basically a save situation, and considering Dempster hasn't pitched in 3 days we probably should've seen him out there.

He said he feels about 60% right now. He messed up his back. Maybe if he quit hitting so many homeruns his back wouldn't hurt so much and Cub fans would think he's classier. Maybe if Cub pitchers would allow a few more home runs, Derrek Lee wouldn't be involved in collisions at first base that disable him for two months. :lol: Not only is that directed at the completely wrong audience, but it doesn't even make any sense. -

Yes, because the .182 that Wilkerson would LOOK mighty impressive on the Cubs right now. Johnson/Wilkerson/prospect DOES NOT equate to being the same as Derrek Lee. Right now, the Cubs could prolly have Wilkerson for a couple of decent prospects. Wilkerson's hitting .255. And considering that Johnson was nearly equaling Lee's production and is also a fine glove man, Johnson/Wilkerson/Bradley would be a great deal.

Imagine what we could've gotten for Lee this offseason if we had given teams a window to work out an extension. I bet Bowden would've given us Johnson, Wilkerson, and been an intermediary so we could get Bradley for Lee and a prospect.
