  1. Double for DLee, 3 feet to the left and I think that's gone.
  2. Theriot really goes the other way alot.
  3. By my count only 18 guys drafted in the 48th round have signed in the last 3 years. The last player the Cubs signed out of the 48th round was C Olin Wick, who is no longer with the organization. The last player to reach the majors draft in the 48th round (that I can see) is Mike Jacobs, who actually didn't sign the year he was drafted there (1998) but waited until the following year when he was drafted in the 38th round. Him and Khalil Green. Greene was never drafted in the 48th round, we drafted him in the 14th round in 2001 and the Padres drafted him in the 1st round in 2002.
  4. I don't think your pitching is very good, all things considered. Yes you have Sheets, but he's never healthy. Harang is very good, but there's not another pitcher on your staff I'd put above Willis right now. That being said, no way I give up Sizemore and Sheff for that package. Not a chance. The pitching has been really good for me so far. This is a late league so we're only now starting our 3rd week of play, but I've been 8-2-0 in the pitching categories so far.

  6. He's admitted to a personal grudge against Angelo, and he's had problems with Bears people in the past. Something I thought was really funny a couple years ago, he went an entire season without picking a Bears game in the 8-10 picks he makes every week. Not that he never picked the Bears, but he never picked a game they played in. And there's no rhyme or reason to what he picks, he'll focus on headline games, but he picks stinkers as well. I think he just ignores them. Are he & Wojechowski the same cat? (not sure of the spelling, and frankly I don't care). Seems that way. They're both Bear-hater supremes. No, Gene Wojciechowski is strictly an ESPN writer from what I've seen. Dr. Z's real name is Paul Zimmerman.
  7. He gave the Cowboys a C, but his review makes no sense. He gave us a partial grade for our audacity to trade with Philly to grab a pass-rusher that might abuse McNabb, and then he says 2nd rounder Jame Marten (who wasn't a 2nd rounder, but a 3rd rounder) "rounds it off". What the heck is that supposed to mean? You guys ripped off the Browns for the 22nd pick, and I wouldn't be worried about the rest. I was pretty happy with our draft actually, the Browns' trade just made it that much better. Ware and Spencer coming off the edge in a Wade Phillips defense is going to be nasty, Marten and Free give us good OL depth, Stanback as a WR is going to be pretty good, Anderson will most likely be our starting FB, and the rest is depth. And we'll be getting McFadden with the #1 pick next year ;)
  8. I guess I'll pledge about 200 a day for now. I'm not voting for a SS though because I'm using my write-in for Pie.
  9. Lenny Dykstra. Not a lot of power, pretty good but not great speed, good patience, undersized, plays balls-to-the-wall. This comparison has been raised before, and it seems to be a very apt one. For every Lenny Dykstra there are hundreds of guys comparable to him who flame out in AA. Sam Fuld and Adam Greenberg being immediate examples that jump to mind. Chris Walker too, though he's got very good speed.

  11. In one of my league someone has proposed to trade me Austin Kearns, Jason Giambi, and Dontrelle Willis for Gary Sheffield and Grady Sizemore. I do need help at 1B but Sheffield is finally starting to wake up, and other than that the rest of the trade doesn't help me too much. In the OF I've got Beltran, Rios, Sizemore, Markakis, and Hamilton and I'm not too wild about getting rid of Sizemore for Kearns. Willis wouldn't help my SP either since I've already got Sheets, Harang, Kazmir, Glavine, Wakefield, Escobar, and Schmidt on the DL if he ever decides to get healthy. I was going to reject immediately when I saw it, but I decided to post it here first to get some reaction before I do.
  12. It is still very early, but this year he's hitting .329/.424/.658 with 6 homers and a pretty good 16/12 K/BB ratio.
  13. And here I was thinking that those teen porn webcams were just your alter-egos :P
  14. They've finally released the HACKING Mass rankings. I'm all the way down at 819 with and ESPN of 50, BalsaWood is up at #19 with an ESPN of 146.
  15. The Cowboys really jumped out fast, so far we've agreed to terms with Ola Dagunduro/DT/Nebraska, Mike Jefferson/WR/Montana, Steve Rissler/C/Florida, Robert Turner/OL/New Mexico, Jerard Rabb/WR/Boise State, Jackie Battle/RB/Houston and Matt Moore QB Oregon State EDIT: I just found out that they signed Alonzo Coleman RB Hampton as well. Former basketball player and 6'8" TE Rodney Hannah has signed with the Boys also.
  16. Well it now looks like the Bears are trying to shop Alex Brown, according to Sun-Times writer Brad Biggs.
  17. Off the top of your head!? Impressive. I probably missed some, but those are names I can recall that I didn't see get draft.
  18. Off the top of my head by position: QB-Jared Zabransky, Chris Leak, Matt Moore, Tony Korroki, Matt Gutierrez, Justin Rascati RB-Darius Walker, Ramonce Taylor, Selvin Young FB-Jackie Battle WR-Matt Trannon, Dave Ball, Jarrett Hicks, Rhema McKnight, Ryan Moore TE-Matt Herian, Joe Newton OT-Gabe Hall, Chase Johnson OG-Kyle Young, Tim Duckworth, Brian Daniels C-Dan Mozes, Lyle Sendlein DT-Walter Thomas, LaRon Harris, Quenin Echols, Kelly Talavou DE-Atwan Applewhite, Justin Hickman, Xzavie Jackson, Mkristo Bruce OLB-Rory Johnson, Earl Everett, Juwan Simson, KaMichael Hall ILB-Jon Abbate, Tony Taylor S-Melvin Bullitt, Jesse Daniels CB-Anthony Arline, Travarous Bain, Kenny Scott
  19. "Mr. Irrelevant"
  20. Jared Zabransky, Matt Moore, Chris Leak, Darius Walker, Rhema McKnight all UDFA's.
  21. Ramzee Robinson is this year's Mr. Irrelevant.
  22. Here comes Mr. Irrelevant.
  23. Different players though, Xzavie is a pass-rush specialist and Keith is a massive 2-gap tackle.
  24. There you go Warpticon, Keith Jackson goes to the Rams.
