  1. Only so much as "Holy crap, an Illini player actually got drafted?". I could start at FB and blow this guy up, NFL.com has him listed at 6'1" 176...he needs a life insurance policy in the NFL.
  2. Ok so can any Illini fans tell me about Alan Ball?
  3. Nate Ilaoa goes to Philthy...that sucks I think he can be a good back in this league.
  4. I really want Dallas to grab a NT with our last pick. Walter Thomas, LaRon Harris, Quenin Echols, Keith Jackson, and Kelly Talavou would all look nice in a Cowboys' uni.
  5. He wasn't invited to the combine, but look at his pro-day results: Campus: 4.32 in the 40-yard dash:shock: … 2.48 20-yard dash … 1.46 10-yard dash … Bench pressed 225 pounds 15 times … 4.07 20-yard shuttle … 7.1 three-cone drill … 41½-inch vertical jump:shock: … 10-foot-11 broad jump … 32½-inch arm length … 9½-inch hands … Right-handed … 25/39 Wonderlic score. sounds like another workout warrior who can't play  First pick in the 7th round....I don't really care if he can or not. This is just low risk/high reward. If we can get either LaRon Harris or Walter Thomas with our 2nd pick in the 7th I'd be thrilled. with numbers like that, a good coaching staff will be able to turn him into a decent player. In college, they wouldn't even through at him as a senior and they haven't thrown a TD pass against him in 2 years. He started off as a WR, so he is raw but we've got good coaches. Todd Bowles is a good DB coach, and Brian Steward who is our DC now was SD's DB coach.

  8. Cowboys got Courtney Brown out of Cal Poly. I'm really happy with the pick, probably the best CB left.
  9. I just looked up a little information-he's about 250, raw, and pretty much purely a situational pass rusher. He had 15 sacks combined the last 2 years. He reminds me alot of Travis LaBoy when he came out. One other thing to note about Ford is that he is extremely fast for a DE, he ran a 4.65 40.
  10. Dallas gave up our 6th and our middle 7th to move up and take Deon Anderson...seems like we didn't even need to make the move though.
  11. Nate Ilaoa 5'8" 248lb HB:
  12. I like Nate Ilaoa more, but this guy should be useful.
  13. We just picked up Deon Anderson FB from Connecticut. This could be a good fit for Garrett's offense.
  14. Cowboys just traded up...wonder who we're after.
  15. We've got 4 picks left, Vance!
  16. The Pack just grabbed Mason Crosby with their 3rd straight pick.
  17. Know anything about him? 6'2" 210lbs and runs about a 4.5 40. He's got very good hands, he finds the ball well and will win the jump ball almost every time. He is probably a #3/4 guy, but in the red zone he is deadly.
  18. Titans got a real sleeper pick in Joel Filani out of Texas Tech.
  19. too bad for crosby... one day at the combine trumps four years of college football He's got a strong leg, but his accuracy was pretty bad in college too. He was only 11/20 outside of 50 yards. seems to me that's not that bad... Jason Hanson, kicking in a dome for more than half his games, is 30/63 in his career outside of 50 yards. Jason Elam is 36/59 Vinatieri 8/18 Josh Brown 10/17 Ryan Longwell 13/24 John Kasay 33/65 So I really don't 11/20 is bad outside 50 yards, especially after going 17/19 from inside 50 the most recent year. That's my bad, the stats I lifted were actually for Nick Folk. Apparently his accuracy was pretty bad. From what I'm hearing though the thing that Crosby really struggled with was his kickoffs, to the point that scouts were thinking any team that took him would need to have a kickoff specialist. That's kind of surprising if true. EDIT: I also did a poor job of remembering the stats...Folk was 11/27 from outside of 40 yards.
  20. John Wendling goes to Buffalo in the 6th, he's another guy I thought could go as high as the 2nd round.

  22. Rick Gosselin is on the radio right now and he's saying that Mason Crosby was probably the worst kicker at the combine, and that he really struggled with both distance and accuracy. He also said that Folk was the most impressive K at the combine.
  23. Foreskins take H.B. Blades. He was a good college LB, but I think he's too slow for the pro game.
  24. But instead we go with Nick Folk K from Arizona....why not Mason Crosby?
  25. John Wendling or David Irons would be nice right here...make it happen Jerruh!
