  1. I completely agree. You might be thinking of baseketball though. Last time I checked, no court was involved in baseball ;) Well it could be argued that the umpire is the judge and that the crowd acts as the jury, though I don't think that's the kind of court you were talking about.
  2. I'll try this again. Team Name: The Fighting Neifi's C: Brad Ausmus 1B: Bernie Williams 2B: Orlando Hudson 3B: Pedro Feliz SS: Royce Clayton LF: Scott Podsednik CF: Chris Duffy RF: Jeromy Burnitz P: Eric Milton P: Casey Fossum
  3. I had a lot of problems with that Peoria feed last year too. I would have to turn sound up as loud as possible just to hear anything... its a completely different feed this year. last year's feed was garbage from the radio station It is a much better connection now, Nate. There is still a constant hissing noise but I'm not really bothered by it.
  4. Very poor connection now...Nate sounds like a machine gun.
  5. Top 3rd Gregg- tapped it back to the pitcher Ciarmella- Soft roller to 2nd base, out on a close play at 1st. Chirinos- Walked on a 3-1 count Norwood- Groundout FC 6-4, Chirinos out at 2nd.
  6. I believe that Blackford has 3k's through 2 innings so far. It's a bit loud here in my house so I'm having a hard time following the game. So far Blackford has had a very sharp curve, but his command has been a bit shaky. Johnston sounds good defensively at SS, though he hasn't shown patience at the plate yet.
  7. Top 2nd Taylor- Popped out in the infield on the 1st pitch. Valdez- Struck out swinging on a 2-2 count. Muyco- Line drive single to center. Johnston- Infield pop-up on the first pitch.
  8. Blackford struckout the first 2 batters in the first innings, then allowed a hit on a 3-2 pitch and hit a man. Last out of the inning was on a 6-4 fielder's choice.
  9. Blackford K'd the first batter of the game, only hit 91 on his "high heat" though.
  10. I just got on and am listening to the Chiefs' game. Chiefs are up 1-0 right now.
  11. That's because he was in Texas, and it seems like all of the Rangers' pitchers get overlooked. He's got good control, but he'll give up quite a few HRs too (partially because of Ameriquest field).
  12. Cuse is the only coach that I know of that is on here...though I could be wrong. I am. Sorry, I guess I was wrong
  13. Wasn't Jamal Strong a one-time top prospect in the Mariners system that has torn up his knee more than a few times? Name sounds familiar, but I'm not great with names either.
  14. I didn't have a whole lot of time this year, and autodrafted all of my teams (with my custom rankings). With one team I somehow ended up with ARod, Blalock, and Mora. Which one should I trade away? For reference the rest of my roster looks like this: C: J. Willingham 1B: J. Morneau 2B: A. Soriano 3B: A. Rodriguez SS: F. Lopez OF: C. Crisp OF: J. Guillen OF: J. Lane Util: H. Blalock Bn: A. Rowand Bn: M. Mora Bn: D. Young SP: R. Oswalt SP: C. Zambrano RP: B. Wagner RP: J. Nathan P: R. Harden P: D. Haren P: C. Ray Bn: P. Byrd Bn: F. Liriano I think pitching will carry me and should be very solid throughout the year. Overall the team is quite young and will probably be plagued by inconsistency, but it is a 12 team roto league so I will have plenty of time to make up for any droughts that occur during the season. Where do yall think I should improve right now?
  15. The comment was made in reference to Sing, who at 25 and at the AAA level still has time to tweak his game and make an impact at the major-league level. He's already shown that he can hit for power and be about average at 2 positions in the field. If he can work on his eye at the plate, and get his average up, I think he'd be a very solid ML player.
  16. I know that LV Ware was considered a dfe last year, but I can't find where he ended up. Who else out of last year's class is considered a dfe candidate?
  17. Cuse is the only coach that I know of that is on here...though I could be wrong.
  18. Were you at that game Fred? No, but I saw the whole thing on good ol' WGN-TV. your letting on your age now..... My kids tell me I'm 3 days older than dirt..... but we all know how they lie !! I guess that explains the layer of dirt covering most of your body...the dirt must have formed around you. Maybe there's even a fossil of you somewhere?
  19. I'm also contemplating skipping school after lunch to catch this game. Only problem is that I missed Friday and I'm in the midst of working on a research paper. I guess if there's no one guarding the parking lot, I'm history. Too bad I can't sneak out silently.
  20. He's already said that he doesn't want to go to an AL team. Maybe he'd go to the Diamondbacks, but I honestly can't see him leaving Chicago.
  21. Excellent, now if the Orioles could win a few games that'd be even better!
  22. Brokeback diamond Or Forbidden Balls. :shaking: Too late, HBO already signed them up to do a show called "If Balls Could Talk". As funny as this story is, it would have been 10x funnier if the Giants had done this in SF.
  23. Does anyone know if Ray is expected to start the season as Baltimore's closer? He's had a good spring and I just picked him up on one of my teams, if he could get me a few saves I'd be very happy.
  24. I don't know a whole lot about VORP or any stats like that, but it just seems to me like it is favoring power-hittering CFs over lead-off CFs.
  25. I'd go for Danks over Diamond. Might be just a personal thing...I don't know.
