  1. That's because his last name is Burrows. No wonder....ok so he was on the D-Cubs in April and hasn't been heard from since. It looks like he's now playing with the Pennsylvania Road Warriors in the Indy Leagues.
  2. Does Angelo Berrows even exist? I can't find his name anywhere except in connection with Hollandsworth...he doesn't even exist on The Baseball Cube.
  3. I wouldn't be so sure; below is the radar image from about 30 minutes ago and the game is still an hour away. http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_tup_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg
  4. As good as he's looked, I hope Marmol is sent down. After being called up straight from AA I think he needs the development time the most. Indeed. I think he'll head to Iowa instead of West Tenn, though. Ya I know it will be AAA and that is good, Alan Dunn is an excellent pitching coach. I'm just commenting that since he made such a jump he should go back to the minors to continue learning before he sticks in the bigs. Let him learn from coach Maddux. DFA Rusch. This is a no-brainer to me. Marmol has been one of very few bright spots, let's see how he progresses with the Cubs. This is only Marmol's 4th year pitching and he's never pitched about AA; even if he has been a bright spot he's still very raw and the MLB is not a place to learn. Let him go down to where he can work on some things and let him come back up when he's ready. Maddux is a good source of knowledge but so are the minor league coaches; Maddux will still be here to help him once he's back up but there is no sense in rushing him.
  5. Huntsville area: http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_avl_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg I do believe that is the Huntsville, Tennessee area...the game is in Huntsville, Alabama.

  7. "Walk this way" is an Aerosmith song, though I think that Run DMC performed it with Aerosmith one.

  9. Pierre- "Run It" ... I don't listen to rap but it seems to fit rather well.
  10. Well for him the glass is still pretty full; he's still on the roster, he's still playing, and he's still getting paid.
  11. With tall pitchers you can't forget Chris Young either, the dude is freaking 6'10". As for the proto-type pitchers, Z is also 6'5".
  12. Negron will be in RF, Chris Walker will be in CF.
  13. I think that somewhere around 6'3"-6'5" is pretty good for a pitcher, but it all really depends on his build. Tall pitchers are going to have an easier time throwing hard because of the slope that the ball has to take to get into the zone. Therefore they probably won't have as many arm problems, but like we've seen with guys such as Sabathia and Johnson, the back and the obliques will be more at risk.
  14. He was supposedly hitting up to 100-101 in Dayton so I think that the gun was fairly accurate. In his interview with BA, he said that he added some strength and endurance in the offseason that has allowed him to really pump up his velocity.
  15. Did anyone else just lose the feed?
  16. Didn't Reed break his finger and miss alot of time at Peoria last year?
  17. Gallagher gives up his 1st run.
  18. Nope, it'll be a NSBB private auction
  19. The organ player in the background is aweful!
  20. I think he's always been a defensive guy without much of a stick hasn't he? I know the stick has really caught up this year.
  21. Walker grounds out to end the inning, Richie stranded at 3rd.
  22. Rojas with a sac bunt, Richie to 3rd. Gallagher up now.
  23. Richie with a double down the lf line.
  24. Runners on 1st and 3rd after a wild pitch and a walk.
  25. Ron: "It's all about the legs...and the thrust....from the waist down"
