  1. Jones strikes out on a ball low and away out of the zone.
  2. Big fly for Nevin and we're finally on the board; here's hoping we can break through here with Pettite tiring.
  3. Belt-high pitch with no outs and the count in Pie's favor, that is a place they should have had him swinging away. I know that they couldn't really know it'd be that good of a pitch but with a runner on 2nd in that situation just a hit to the right side of the infield would have moved the runner over.
  4. Horrible call there, Burke was out by quite a bit; even the Astros' commentators are saying it. That just cost us another run.
  5. Those stupid someone-hater terms agrivate me. It is just a way of grouping those whom one disagrees with together into a group. Furthermore, WHO hates prior here? There were those who were skeptical, but no one hated him. OF COURSE they were skeptical, his velocity was not to be found in his first start. /rant I recall several threads recently ready to give up on Prior and try to trade him for whatever we could get for him. Maybe hater is the wrong term but I'd say quite a few people had all but given up on him ever being productive again.
  6. Prior's night is done after 6.2 innings 4H 1R/0ER 10/1 K/BB. So his final minor league stats (assuming this was his last start) aren't bad: 18.2IP 15H 6ER 22/3 K/BB 2.89ERA
  7. I don't know if it's a typo or you're looking at the wrong month, but May is the 5th month. Sorry, it is one big typo...I wasn't even paying attention but the stats are from the June boxscores. I'll go back and edit it.
  8. Now that I'm on my way...Ok sorry for the cheesy country song, but how are those Prior-haters feeling now? So far tonight he's gone 6IP 4H 1 unearned run 9/1 K/BB. That brings his minor league numbers to 18IP 15H 6ER 21/3 K/BB and he's felt great after each start. I know that minor league success doesn't necessarily equal major league success but this is a very good start.
  9. Prior strikes out, but he's still got an awesome line; 6IP 4H 9/1 K/BB. I'll be looking forward to seeing him on Sunday.
  10. 6/1- 3/4 6/2- 0/4 6/3- 2/4 6/4- 0/4 6/5- 1/4 6/6- 2/5 6/7- No Game 6/8- 0/3 6/9- 0/4 6/10- DNP 6/11- 1/3 6/12- 1/4 That totals 10/39 in my book. He's also 1/3 with 2k's tonight which brings his average for this month to .262.
  11. I think that was a bad play by Pierre, he should have atleast held Lane to 3rd. The ball was only looped into the alley and Pierre jogged over to it.
  12. Ouch, it looks like Marshall isn't doing to good. I just got back and the pitch count was on the screen; 41 bals and 46 strikes.
  13. On FSN Southwest the announcers just mentioned that Barrett's appeal will probably be held Friday.
  14. Barrett scorches a double into left CF.
  15. Very good news, how high was he hitting on the gun?
  16. 2 beautiful curveballs gets Marshall out of the inning.
  17. Burke with a solo shot to left. Marshall's leaving too many pitches up right now.
  18. TT, are those for his career or for this season? I went through all of the boxscores for June and he's only 10/39 (.256 BA) this month.
