  1. It is rather odd but he still hits the ball pretty hard; Canzler's stance is quite odd to me. What's it look like? He has a wide base but he brings his knees in so close that they're almost touching. He holds his bat rather high and he brings his elbows together and apart as a timing mechanism. It reminds me of Craig Counsell but with a lower bat position and he stays square in the box the whole time.
  2. 3 2/3IP 3H 0R 5k/???BB for Petrick unofficially, hopefully they'll announce his finally line after they come back from break. He looked good out there tonight and he looked in control. I didn't see much besides fastballs but he had good location, movement, and velocity. EDIT: Muldowny is in to pitch now.
  3. It is rather odd but he still hits the ball pretty hard; Canzler's stance is quite odd to me.
  4. Camp with a triple to right center, Hawks up 2-0.
  5. It's working for me now as well...no telling why it wasn't working earlier.
  6. Well if that is local time, the game doesn't start for another 30 minutes or so...it just seems like the games have been starting earlier that this the last few nights.
  7. Is anyone else having problems getting the Boise Hawks internet video feed? Everytime it loads, it wants me to sign in. Since I don't have an account they want me to pay to watch the game.
  8. You need to fill in "Wood reinjured" on your graphic He'd have to jump over Baker being extended which would be far worse. He needs to switch the order and then fill in 1 more notch.
  9. With Dusty managing and a lefty on the mound, I'm surprised he's in there at all.
  10. How is his defense? I know that when he was drafted he was considered the better hitting prospect, but Richie was the better defensive prospect. It seems to me that he and Rick split the starts at C so that makes me wonder if he's capable of being an everyday C and still produce at his current levels.
  11. Score is 9-1 now and the Emeralds have batted around this inning. Francisco isn't fooling anyone right now.
  12. Close the book on Downs...I wasn't paying very good attention to the score; the Hawks are actually down 7-1 now. All 7 runs are charged to Downs, and only 1 is unearned I believe. Final Line: 4+ 6H 7R/6ER 3/1 K/BB (not sure on the K/BB, they didn't announce a final one but I think that's all he had).
  13. Downs is out of the game now; he went 4+ and allowed 4R/3ER and there are still 2 men on. EDIT: Former 3B Alfredo Francisco is now pitching.
  14. I like his bat, but his glove worries me. I highly doubt he'll be able to stick at 3B so that decreases his value as a prospect IMO.
  15. Petrick starting tomorrow night for the Hawks!
  16. With Hoffpauir gone, he's closing in on the SL home run leader...only a few back now I believe isn't he?
  17. Downs has looked pretty good so far. It seems to me like he'll be sailing along and then he almost gets bored or loses his focus. He's also got a very long delivery and it looks like it can be picked up rather easily.
  18. I'm not too surprised, Howell is only 23 and pretty much ML-ready. They've got both Crawford and Baldelli who are capable of playing either CF or LF, and Gathright's bat really doesn't fit anywhere but CF.
  19. I called the Downs drafting before it happened so I'm really hoping he can turn it around. At 21, he's definately too old for the league so I'm hoping he's learned and will move faster this year.
  20. My feed cut off just now so I guess that means no firework show for most of us :(
  21. Lansford grounds out to 1B to end the game; final score 11-7, Eugene wins. There is a fireworks show after the game, but I'm not sure if they'll broadcast it as well.
  22. There's a walk to Canzler as well. Canzler and Puello have been the most impressive so far in this game.
  23. Yep, it was a nice move.....18 hits for Eugene so far tonight and 12 for Boise I do believe. This should be one fun season to watch.
  24. Canzler makes it back-to-back jacks for the Hawks, and his went quite a bit further than Puello's. Score is 10-7 now.
  25. Alvin Puello just hit his first HR of the year, score is 10-6 now.
