Some thoughts: The report came out before this game that Trubisky had to go on a playoff run for the Bears to bring him back. With Nagy coming back, I think that's probably the right call. Nagy clearly doesn't trust him enough to actually let him throw the ball. Trubisky back makes a lot of sense because the Bears don't have the money or resources to guarantee much better, but Trubisky isnt good enough. Unfortunately, Nagy also probably isn't good enough. WR is going to be an interesting position this offseason. You'd think they HAVE to bring Robinson back. But money will be tight. Mooney will be back. But do you bring Miller back? I think he's a WR that can thrive in a better offense w/ a better contract, but him getting ejected with the team shorthanded today and against CGJ like I'm sure he was warned not to retaliate, might have been last straw. Wims isn't good enough either (nothing to do w his huge drop either), so I could see him going. Patterson is a FA. Ridley can't see the field over that punt returner dude. If Robinson walks, it's 2nd year Mooney and a revamped WR room. Defense was good today, considering no Johnson or Roquan. Hicks is a big decision. I wonder w/ Goldman coming back if they give the D one last run with a new DC. I'd personally treat Goldman as a reason to get rid of Hicks and save a 10.5M in cap space. But probably gotta draft DL on the 2nd day of the draft. QB decision obviously makes or breaks this offseason and at least the next 2-3 seasons. Too low in the draft. If Pace is back and running the show alone, does he have the balls (and ammo) to make a big trade up to get one of the top 4 QBs? If not, do the Bears go after another veteran QB? Same names as last year will be available, but I think the Bears go for better instead of just a different project type QB. Jimmy G would be a different option, but is he better? Stafford, Ryan, Wentz, maybe Carr, will be available and I think they all are better (yes, even Wentz), but all will need to be traded for and have big contracts.
